Fans in downstairs bedroom shower room and toilet not working.
No cupboards in downstairs bedroom. Bifold door in lounge wouldn’t open and screws found on floor. Very poor lighting in kitchen area, you need good lighting in that area that has no windows. The upstairs shower is a very tight squeeze.
We felt Primrose cottage wasn’t suited to the young child we had with us.
We had to take our own travel cot as one isn’t available the furniture was jaded and obviously come from the adjacent pub. A baby bath again very inexpensive would have been a helpful addition to what was available. We had an issue with a dangerous nail protruding from furniture tho this was dealt with very quickly
Well situated for enjoying the locality.
I wouldn’t say this accommodation is really the 4 rating based on others we have stayed in. It’s fairly basic but clean. Storage is limited overall. The downstairs bedroom specifically doesn’t have enough storage to make it a comfortable stay. A chest of drawers next to the wardrobe in the hall would be a good addition. Although there was a Welcome pack of various groceries, it was not local produce as we have enjoyed elsewhere. Dogs are allowed but the garden is not dog friendly as there is no wire on the fences. Our dogs could not roam freely in the garden with us which made enjoying the outside space limited due to the horses and sheep in the adjoining field. Some earthenware dishes would be a helpful addition to the kitchen for cooking meals. Overall we had a good week but some additional storage and personal touches would improve the experience for future guests.
