The Attic at Redmond Bottom

We had a great break the owners were very friendly, local knowledge on the walks around the area was great.

We had such a chilled out holiday looking across the fields at the horses whist having breakfast

Lovely property with great views, stayed for a few days in June with my dog.

Enjoyed sitting on the balcony just listening to the horses. Lots of walks from the property and village with 3 pubs within walking distance too. Warm water tap and doggy shampoo was a very welcome addition.

Id like to say big thank you was beautiful place to stay and they even thought about dog as well bedding bowls treat was nice definetly be booking again

What a wonderful place to stay!

The property itself has been beautifully finished to a high standard. Everything was absolutely spotless - one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed! The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need for a short stay here. We enjoyed eating a takeaway out on the balcony, taking in the lovely views, which was perfect. The setting is idyllic - so peaceful and surrounded by countryside and birdsong. You feel completely off the beaten track whilst within easy access to Wells and all the local amenities you would need. The property is beautifully set up for doggy visitors with really lovely touches like a jar of dog biscuits and dog blankets to welcome 4 legged guests plus a warm dog wash and dog waste bin in the yard area. The yard is self contained so your doggies are secure and just a few steps outside your gate is a grassy track / walks as needed. For us, we could have done with a little gate at the top of the steps down from the balcony - only because our dogs are silly enough to run down the stairs at full pelt when they shouldn't! We wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather with the door open and to do so, we needed to build a little makeshift barrier to stop the dogs accessing the stairs easily. Appreciate this is our issue rather than the owner's but that was my only suggestion on an otherwise superb and designed place. The hosts have thought everything through, even leaving a torch, umbrella and spare poo bags out for guests - lovely touches which make you feel very welcome as visitors. They have also mastered the art of providing great information and being 'available' if needed, whilst leaving you with complete privacy for your stay. A super accommodation in a peaceful and idyllic setting. We would definitely recommend this place to others (and in fact have done so already!) and wouldn't hesitate in returning. I also love the fact that stabling is available should you want to use this as a riding base. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a perfect Easter weekend at the attic with our dog.

We have stayed at a lot of dog friendly accomodation, but we can comfortably say this was easily the best one we've come across. Literally everything had been thought of, small things like a warm tap outside for dogs paws, along with a bucket of dog shampoo and a towel, it really made a difference. The accomodation was absolutely spotless aswell, in a stunning and secluded location. 10/10 and will definitely be staying again...the dogs and us absolutely loved it! !!

A Glorious Rural Haven ​How lovely it has been to discover The Attic, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The property is beautifully appointed, immaculate, and the facilities are perfect. Whether you visit in the summer or the winter, it provides the most glorious rural haven. It is ideal both as a gentle, peaceful retreat to stay in, and as an excellent base for exploring the area by car or on foot. The hosts could not be more lovely and welcoming, and their two fabulous terriers are a wonderful addition to the stay! ​The setting is truly idyllic. The balcony perfectly faces the sunrise, and the morning and evening birdsong is wonderful. It is an absolute joy to see the various songbirds and birds of prey, the deer crossing the fields, the horses grazing on a fine day, and to watch the comings and goings from the livery yard. The team at the yard are lovely too.  ​It is a beautiful place to enjoy any season. For the cooler days, the wood-burning stove is just perfect for a cosy evening in. ​Tip for future visitors: The stove ('The Hobbit'

This lovely property is perfect for a dog friendly holiday or romantic getaway.

Not only, are there a selection of wonderful walks that can be accessed directly from The Attic but the property is located less than 15 miles away from both, Glastonbury town and Chedder Gorge so it's ideal for exploring Somerset and the Mendip Hill Country, overall! I found The Attic to be very cosy and the daffodils were such a thoughtful touch, especially in mid-winter. My little dog also, very much appreciated the outside warm water tap following our wet and wintery walks

Third visit as this property is first class.

Off the main road and thereby good for dog owners, the property is small but both well supplied and great quality. Ideal for two and their dog.

The Attic was beautiful.

It had everything you needed and was in such a gorgeous location for visiting local towns/points of interest. The property itself was lovely inside and out and very private. We loved looking over at the horses from the balcony. Wells was our favourite nearby town with lots to see and do! Wookey had a lovely pub (ring o bells) and cafe that was walking distance! Everywhere was very dog friendly and we did some beautiful walks! Thank you for such a lovely stay, Emily, Stephen and Remus x

Such a beautiful property and in the most gorgeous of settings.

The owners have made such a impressive use of the space and decorated to a high finish. The bathroom was of particular delight, especially the shower. We did feel like we were the only guests to have ever stayed, everything felt so clean and new! A picturesque and calming break despite the rain and gales at points. One caution to note is the long and uneven surface on the drive to reach the property, wouldn’t be suitable for a low-slung car. Would certainly stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at The Attic.

We enjoyed uninterrupted views of the countryside, accompanied only by the sounds of nature. It was ideal for our dog as well, with a secure fence and a private outdoor area. The Attic is attached to the farmhouse's outbuilding. So it's not like being in a flat. Everything internally is quality and well thought out, which adds to a great time away.

What a beautiful little place they had everything you needed and more they had gone above and beyond thinking about the guests with this place would definitely recommend thank you The Heskeths will be back again

Our second visit and it was as wonderful as the first time.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Had just about everything. Even a warm dog wash, which the Westies tested out. Hope to be back one day.

A beautiful, spotless property - perfect for a couple with (or without!

) a dog. Exactly as described in the listing. High, fenced off area underneath 'the attic' to keep your dog safe. Wonderful views across the countryside. Plenty of space inside. Couldn't fault anything. Attention to detail in terms of recycling and even warm water outdoors for dog hosing with everything you need to keep them clean. Perfect!

A little gem of a property and a lovely place to stay while exploring this part of Somerset, with scenic countryside walks straight from the door, close to Wells and only a short drive to Bath and Weston-super-Mare

We loved everything about our stay at The Attic.

It's lovely accomodation, spotlessly clean & well maintained with lots of extra touches to make it feel special. It's also incredibly dog friendly. The location is beautiful & very peaceful. We enjoyed many walks from the door plus visits to Wells, Cheddar and Glastonbury. We plan to return. Five stars!

Super clean, and just about everything was provided. Even a warm dog wash with luxury dog shampoo. Just the thing that was needed when both Westies roll in cow and fox pooh. Out of the door walking. Loved how the horses were looked after. Looking forward to our next visit.

A lovely, clean and well presented property.

The views were outstanding, especially the horses in their paddocks, some frolicking about. We were made to feel really welcome by the owners. The Attic is a great place to use as a holiday base from which to explore all that Somerset has to offer. Would definitely stay there again.

Extremely dog friendly. It was lovely to find that they supplied dog blankets, bowls & treats etc. Also a welcome pack of milk etc for humans too. Lovely & quiet area. Just what was needed. Owners were very friendly.

The property was immaculate with fantastic views overlooking farmland and was very well equipped.

We were lucky with the weather and were able to make use of the sun loungers which were provided.

Lovely property, very well designed.

Owners were friendly and helpful but gave us our privacy.

We stayed for seven nights and found The attic was a lovely place to stay and it was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Well equipped and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the stunning views, especially from the balcony, where we were lucky enough to sit in the sun and enjoy. The contained garden was great for our two dogs, especially our jack Russell who is an escape artist! We did three lovely walks from the door, details of which were printed in the information folder. Wells was definitely worth a visit and we recommend ‘the hub’ in Wookey village. Where they served delicious home baked food and good coffee. We would definitely like to visit again and would recommend as a place to visit.

The owners were very friendly and helpful and equally mindful of giving us privacy. Thoughtful extras like flowers, tea, coffee, milk, hand soap, dog bowls & treats etc, etc were really appreciated. As was the warm water tap, with dog shampoo & towel! We had a lovely relaxing and peaceful break and hope to return.

We had an amazing stay at the Attic.

It is very comfortable, warm and well equipped. The owner left fresh flowers on the table along with a bag of mini eggs (we stayed over Easter) and cider and milk in the fridge. Such lovely added touches! The secure outside area was great for our 2 dogs and the warm 'dog wash' was brill as it was quite muddy when we were out and about. We highly recommend The Attic, and if we return to the area we would definitely stay again.

Great accommodation.

The quality of the products from hand soap, towels to crockery was high. Everything was thought of to help us relax. And a warm tap for the dogs dirty feet. Local pub Ring O Bells in Wookey was less than a mile walk for fantastic food. Even got offered tickets from Anna for a food show. Thank you.

Only wish we could have stayed longer, & it wasn’t so wet & muddy that weekend! Our golden retriever loved it though, she was in the lap of luxury with the warm dog wash as well! Also nice to have the enclosed garden space.

Very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Secure yard was great for our dog and even had a warm tap to clean him off after walks. Very peaceful setting with lovely views. Would definitely stay here again.

They have created a delightful holiday home for a couple with a dog.

Everything has been well thought through even down to an outside tap dispensing warm water to wash muddy paws. Also the many extras such as dog biscuits and rug; unexpected toiletries and beautiful Emma Bridgewater crockery.

Lovely property well off the beaten track, with lovely views and as stated in description some stairs to climb up to reach the property.

Just to mention the property has sloping walls so you have to take care not to bang your head. All in all we had a lovely week here and the bonus is your only a couple of miles away from the lovely city of Wells.

Great cottage, nice and clean and the owner has thought of everything .

I will definitely look at staying there in the cooler months if we are in the area again. Dogs loved it as well, as they had horses to view from the terrace which kept them occupied . Very central to be able to explore different areas.

An excellent property, super clean, excellent bed and shower facilities, good kitchen for self catering, excellent setting with fields and horses and near many places to visit.

Would highly recommend the attic, the Cathedral in wells is stunning as is Chedder gorge.

Loved everything about The Attic.

Approached down a long driveway meant the property was in a lovely quiet location, all you can see is the countryside and horses resulting in a very chilled out stay, just what we needed. Everything in the property is like new, settee and bed very comfy and shower was fab. Everything you could possibly need was provided and everything was immaculately clean. Lovely having the little decking area with the table & chairs, we spent most of our time sat there. Great to have the fully enclosed dog friendly garden, definitely dog secure, a must for us with our Houdini pooches. We will definitely be booking a return visit

This was one of the most enjoyable stays we have had in a holiday cottage and so delightful.

An excellent modern property with splendid views, and within easy reach of Wells, Wookey Hole, and Cheddar.

Great location to Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge to name a few, also short walk (over fields) to Wookey which has a couple of lovely pubs.

The accommodation itself is just lovely, behind the owners house but feels private and with fantastic starry nights. Lots of thought and care given, all you could need for self catering, though lots of nice places to eat out, from the treats in the fridge to doggie care. Outside are also eco bins for recycling which we really liked. You may need to wash your car if it is dry from the lane but it is well worth it and we hope that we will get the chance to return again.

A welcoming, airy, bright, custom built modern apartment with all the essential equipment, fridge, microwave, cooker etc.

We loved all the little welcoming touches too. A bit of a bumpy gravel track to reach it, but that was part of charm for us. A remote and relaxing spot with great atmosphere and views. Its a great location for day trips and really close to both Wells and the Cheddar Gorge.
