The Retreat is lovely, just right for a get away from it all for a solo traveller or a couple.

Tea, Coffee, milk and fresh muffins were welcome for arrival. Place was spotlessly clean, and cleaning materials were provided for washing up and bin bags. Was nice to have foil and cling film provided as well as good stock of utensils and cutlery/crockery. Would have been nice to have some other basics such as salt/pepper and oil and spare toilet rolls. Could have done with some instructions on how to use the Spa properly, and also the TV and the wall picture heater - I'm no technophobe but that puzzled me! There were a couple of blown ceiling lights, and the outside lights did not work fully, nor the outside water feature. Would still recommend 100% though.

This was a nice place to stay, however the road noise is really quite intrusive and so I wouldn’t book this property again.

The property was well cared for, clean and comfortable. Kitchen provision was adequate . The shower is challenging for tall people because of the restricted headroom . Due to an unexpected leg injury we were unable to use the hot tub.
