Reviews

    • “The cottage was really nice but the facilities were a bit basic, if the full amount of people were to stay at the cottage there would not be enough comfy chairs to sit on in the lounge also the tv was miniscule and with both mine and the wife's eyesight we had to sit quite literally as close to the tv as possible. There was no outside furniture you could lounge on and as we had the best weather for the whole week 28 degrees and above we couldn't take advantage of the weather. a BBQ would have been great even if only a charcoal type again to take advantage of the weather and alfresco dining. The cottage was ideal for our dogs due to the fact the large garden ay at this cottage was secure and fully enclosed. be aware that if you stay during the summer months there is a major problem with flies both inside and outside the property we used a can and a half of fly spray which was provided by the owner so they were aware of the problem. The horsefly problem meant that we could not use the outside area even our dogs were bit one so badly we had to take him to the vets on our return home as he had an adverse reaction and was quite poorly. The wife was bit some 20 plus times on the only day we used the garden part of the problem I think due to her having to lie on a towel on the ground. ( no loungers ) This forced us to go to the beach every day which incurred further costs for parking. Again I must say the house including its position for the area was good but the small comforts that were missing would have made our stay 100%. We would definitely stay again but perhaps not in the height of summer and if the owner could make improvements tv, outdoor furniture etc.”

    • “HH are always spot on with their descriptions of properties and location. This holiday was very peaceful and beautiful. Very restorative and great base for exploring!”

    Mrs Callaghan, YEOVIL, May 2018

    • “Lovely cottage would definately like to return lovely and clean bright and airy only negative which i dont usually do is the television was far to small for the size of room and most people who stay at a cottage tend not to go out in the evening also there was no barbecue”

    Mr Ellicott, Plymouth, April 2018

    • “The location was wonderful - so peaceful and quiet and yet near so many lovely places to visit; The interior of the cottage was excellent - cosy and homely yet easy to keep clean (especially when bringing a dog) The appliances were a joy to use - wonderful cooker/oven, washing machine, vacuum cleaner etc all of high quality. We can highly recommend this holiday cottage to everyone.”

    Mrs Johnson, FARNHAM, March 2018

    • “A lovely clean cottage for those who like to get away from it all. Nice secluded location. The Television is far too small for the size of the lounge, and some more comfy chairs would have been nicer for relaxing in an evening. Although we understand that flies are part of country living, the flies coming out of hibernation from the bedroom window casements were an issue, until we hoovered them all away, this could have been done before had arrived. Sharing your bedroom with 50 house flies isn't most pleasant. The garden is great for dogs, we had a wonderful time and would hope to return again.”

    Mr Tucker, Wellington, March 2018
