The harbour town of Falmouth is a beautiful location for a holiday cottage getaway in Cornwall. With a thriving harbour, majestic beaches and a host of local attractions, it has something for every member of the family.
If you like to eat out then you will be spoilt for choice deciding where to go. There are some excellent cafés and pubs, if you are just after a snack or a refreshing drink, as well as a number of gourmet restaurants that cater to finer dining. The high street has an eclectic mix of independent and boutique shops and dotted across the town are several craft shops and art galleries to explore - The National Maritime Museum is well worth a visit to learn more about the history and heritage of the town.

Places to visit near Falmouth
Travel south from Falmouth and visit the stunning cove and sheltered beach of Maenporth. Farther inland is the pretty village of Mawnan Smith. Close to the Helston River and full of traditional thatched cottages, it is a lovely, tranquil spot to spend the day.
