Last year, Molly’s Cottage, a beautiful whitewashed Devon cottage located in the popular waterside village of Noss Mayo, was receiving occasional grumbles from guests, and achieving a disappointing level of bookings. It was clearly in need of some investment. Working with the client, Montagu South West, the property management specialists, reviewed the complaints, conducted a survey of Molly’s Cottage and compiled a list of improvements. With two bedrooms, one bathroom and a kitchen, their team set to work to overhaul the tired fixtures and decor in the bathroom and update the soft furnishings to create a homely, country cottage.

Within four weeks, and to the agreed budget, the team completed a full refurbishment of the bathroom. The bathroom’s entire fixtures and fittings were replaced with a modern, efficient arrangement which suited the character of the cottage. Soft furnishings were purchased to complement and enhance the existing furniture.

The property was transformed into a charming, comfortable, immaculate and cosy cottage in keeping with its period and location.

The client was overjoyed with the transformation, which has resulted in a lovely cottage with a high standard of finish in the bathroom and stylish soft furnishings.

Montagu continues its successful involvement with Molly’s Cottage by managing the property to a meticulous standard, from changeovers by a dedicated housekeeper, to welcoming cream teas and garden maintenance, and further renovations are planned.
