The surfing capital of the UK - there are four beaches in the town itself 15 in total within a couple of mile radius. Boardmasters Festival takes place annually and is a combination of surfing competitions and live music. As well as surfing, the conditions are ideal to try your hand at kayaking, windsurfing and paddleboarding. For beginners, there are many water sports shops where you can rent equipment and schools providing lessons.
The South West Coast runs for miles in both directions, providing walkers with hours and hours of walks with stunning views out to the Atlantic Ocean. For families there are many brilliant attractions, such as a trip to Newquay Zoo or the Blue Reef Aquarium.
