Why book a holiday rental in Bantham?

Bantham is a coastal village that sits on the eastern bank of the River Avon. A former fishing village, the main attraction of Bantham today is the large sandy beach which is very popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers.

From a Bantham holiday cottage, you can exlpore the South West Coast Path that runs all the way along the coast and offers spectacular views and scenery for walkers.

If you wish to continue west along the path without walking all the way around the River Avon, a ferry service operates between April and September.

Places to visit near Bantham

If you choose to head across the River Avon then you can visit Bigbury-on-Sea and Burgh Island. Explore the history of the tidal island and enjoy relaxing on the vast stretch of sandy beach.

Adjacent to Bantham is the village of Thurlestone, a very pretty spot with many old thatched buildings dating back to the 17th century. Just south of Thurlestone is the delightful seaside village of Hope Cove.
