Why visit Bantham?
Bantham is a coastal village that sits on the eastern bank of the River Avon. A former fishing village, the main attraction of Bantham today is the large sandy beach which is very popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers. The South West Coast Path runs all the way along the coast and offers spectacular views and scenery for walkers. If you wish to continue west along the path without walking all the way around the River Avon, a ferry service operates between April and September.
