Lying just outside of Bristol is Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park, host to more Halloween activities in Somerset. Avon Valley hosts FEAR Scream Park, not for the faint of heart!

Voted the UK’s best scream park in 2019, it’s a truly terrifying trip. The attraction consists of five intense scare mazes, street theatre and park rides.

Grab an epic photo op with E.T. or the Ghostbusters Slimer, before daring to go down the corridor of monsters with real zombies and a haunted graveyard!

5. The World of Martin Brown, Weston Museum, Weston-super-Mare

The World of Martin Brown exhibition at Weston Museum in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset.

Head to Weston-super-Mare’s Weston Museum to see the amazing illustrations of Martin Brown. You might not be familiar with his name, but his work is certainly recognisable as that of Horrible Histories illustrations.

This exhibition, “The World of Martin Brown: Horrible Histories and other Dazzling Drawings”, showcases some of the original covers for some Horrible Histories books and lots of Martin’s work from his career as a humorous graphic artist.


6. October Half Term Family Fun, Haynes Motor Museum, near Yeovil

Enjoy a break from terrifying day trips and instead pay a visit to Haynes Motor Museum during your October half term in Somerset.
