“Pretty cottage with everything we needed in it.”

Well positioned to visit much of South Devon and the lovely beaches in the area.

Well positioned to visit much of South Devon and the lovely beaches in the area. We thought the garden was fully enclosed but was in fact in the front of the property and not fully linked to the cottage.

The property

Tucked away in the idyllic village of Tuckenhay, South Devon, is this delightful, former paper mill cottage set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Positioned at the end of a narrow lane that sits near the picturesque Bow Creek, Jasmine Cottage, is welcoming and full of character.

A lovely choice for family or small groups of friends, with three first floor bedrooms, one king-size, one double and one twin, and a family bathroom with bath or shower over.

The cosy sitting room with two leather sofas, chaise longue and a flat screen TV, is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day sightseeing.

Boasting an attractive brick fireplace housing a cosy woodburning stove.

The open plan dining area is a social space with dining for up to six people, ideal for family meals or to enjoy morning coffee.

The kitchen has a range of handmade bespoke timber units with pretty rainbow tiles.

Leading off from the dining area, a useful utility room with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, plus separate cloakroom and WC.

Outside to the rear, there is a flat terrace plus a steep, raised patio area (may not be suitable for young children) with a table and chairs, so you can sit out and enjoy the afternoon sun with a refreshing glass of wine.

Off-road parking is available for two medium sized cars, with a terraced garden where families can unwind.

You can walk to the River Dart from the cottage, with two riverside pubs within walking distance and wonderful river and country walks on your doorstep.

Beaches at Slapton and Blackpool Sands are a short drive away and Woodlands Park provides fun for all the family whatever the weather.

The nearby historic towns of Dartmouth and Totnes offer castles to visit, boat trips, shops and award-winning restaurants.
