Why book a cottage in Lympstone?
Lympstone is a village situated on the estuary of the River Exe, north of Exmouth and south of Topsham. There are wonderful walks on offer along the shore and keen cyclists can follow the Exe Estuary Trail, 20 miles of mostly off-road track. Close to the shore front you can visit Peters Tower, a clock tower built in 1885. Climb the spiral staircase and enjoy the stunning views from the top.
A short drive away is the World of Country Life amusement park. This award winning attraction is a great day out for families. Enjoy indoor and outdoor play areas, meet a variety of animals and even get to handle and feed some of them.
Places to visit near Lympstone
If you enjoy fine food and drink then take a trip north of Lympstone to Topsham. The town is a hotspot for great restaurants, with a particular focus on fresh, local seafood. If you enjoy the buzz of the city then head farther north to Exeter. Take a tour of the cathedral or spend an afternoon in the award winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery.
