The property

In Edmonton, two pretty, terraced cottages with views from upstairs over the Camel estuary or Bodmin Moor.

They open from a courtyard of cottages on three sides, the pub on the fourth.

At their back, an open lawned area.

Primrose Cottage: front door from courtyard into neat kitchen/dining room (washer-drier, microwave, fridge, electric cooker), leading via archway to living room (woodburner) with TV/DVD, garden views and glazed door to lawn.

Steep stairs up to two bedrooms - a double (glimpses over rooftops of estuary, Padstow, Stepper Point and the sea) with TV, and a room with twin beds; bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Edmonton: hamlet of former stone quarrymenÂ’s cottages (no working quarry near now), excellent family good food pub.

Little-used lane runs one mile down to the Camel estuary (birdwatching) and Camel Trail (cycleway).

Wadebridge, 2 miles; Padstow, 6; the splendid Trevose peninsula beaches, 7½ miles; Camel Valley vineyard (tours, tastings), 8.

Excellent golf, walking, watersports and riding nearby.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
