What an excellent property.

Can't fault it. There were only three of us so plenty of room. The views were fantastic. The noise from the very central location was as expected and certainly not an issue (take ear plugs if you don't want to hear anything). The only drawback was the nesting seagulls on one of the outside spaces which effectively made it out of bounds during out stay. The three chicks did seem to like looking in through the window but it just added to the experience. You want for nothing at this property. Everything is provided. I would certainly go back again. I’ve been to Scotland Wales all over on holidays and this has to be one of the best apartments and the best views I’ve ever had I could live there 24 seven absolutely amazing clean tidy good views and just all-round amazing.

We felt that the glass door leading into the master bedrooms bathroom requires a blind for privacy.

Otherwise the property was very nice, great views and convenient for everything in Falmouth.

The property was a lovely touch and very spacious.

We enjoyed our stay, but on the first day of being in the property, we had noticed that one of the bed frames in the end room to the left had cracked. This then meant when the two people who were with us got in and sat on the bed this broke the frame in the middle which meant bed was not able to be safe to sleep in. We communicated this with the cleaner and sent photos of the picture of what the bed frame looked like when arrived and then when the guest sat on bed. When I was informed in the morning I communicated straight away to the cleaner ( who was port of contact) and sue to this being a Sunday there wasn’t anything they could do until Monday. The cleaner contacted to inform me they would measure the bed and get a replacement. I informed them we would be out of property on Monday so they could measure up and get a replacement. I’m the day they informed me they were also going to replace the other bed ( which was fine) I’m a different room. This was all accommodated for and all sorted by Monday evening. To turn come home and several days later, to receive a message in the Sykes portal and £200 taken from my bank without any conversations. Absolutely discussed with this as we have not caused the damage to the furniture. I feel I have been boycotted for damage that was not called we by us. We shall not return due to the way we have been treated. For others that are l considering this please check everything…

We had a brilliant time staying at Dawn Catcher!

The apartment is beautifully decorated and spotless. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us - grandparent, parents and children - to relax in the evening. The Nespresso machine was an added bonus too. This is our 4th time in Falmouth but first time staying in Dawn Catcher...not our last we hope!

It's a beautiful location, right where we wanted to be in Falmouth with wonderful views across the harbour and around. You've got to be prepared for the multiple flights of steps, but it was good for us after the Cornish pasties from Oggies next door :). The beds are very comfortable, and the parking a real bonus in that part of town. The broadband speed for streaming is OK - but the options in the street are limited. We supplemented occasionally with a 4G phone hotspot, but most of the time it was fine. There were one or two issues with a couple of the kitchen gadgets (dish washer and drinks fridge), but the friendly caretaker team were really responsive and things that could get fixed were fixed.

Apart from no heating where we had to even dry our towels in front of a fan heater in the living room, the property smelt musty/dusty when we entered each time.

The second bathroom smelt of drains! When I hit a cushion of the settee beside me up came a cloud of dust! There was a shelf half off the wall, the back of one section of the settee was broken and the en-suite bathroom sink badly crazed. This apartment was furnished as a beach house but we were in a boat port no where near a beach. The kitchen cupboards were full with the owners old baking sheets and metal trays. No cupboard was available for any food. There were no tissues nor even salt and pepper or oil. Not up to scratch! When I book a luxury rental that is what I expect and not have the feeling I want to go home!

Dawn Catcher is loft living at it’s very best!

The views from the front of the property are to die for. The apartment itself is spacious and well equipped and the beds are the most comfortable you could wish for. My husband and I took our daughter, son-in-law and young grandchildren here and we all loved it. There was plenty of room for us all and we didn’t feel like we were ‘on top of each other’ at all. If there is a downside, I would say that tall people have to beware of knocking your heads because of the sloping walls throughout, especially in the master bedroom en suite! However, Dawn Catcher is a gorgeous property and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Excellent facility’s. House keeper helpful. Fantastic location. Very secure grounds/parking. Not fault in anything- well apart from no lift!!! However stairs kept us very fit indeed!!

Loved the apartment, was sold as a luxury apartment and absolutely it was a luxury apartment.

Facilities was great and also quality of all the stuff was amazing. Views were stunning and overall all we can say is we loved it!

The apartment was excellent - very clean, spacious and well presented and we were delighted with it.

Our biggest disappointment was the balconies - the ledges were covered in moss and there were weeds growing through the wooden decking and the balcony furniture was a little shabby. Very disappointing.

Great location, only negative was the balconies could do with a bit of a refresh and maybe have some updated wipe clean furniture that you put out when you use it to avoid the sea gull mess. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, the apartment had everything we needed very spacious for the 6 of us will def be happy to return.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in this fabulous apartment.

Dream Catcher is stylishly furnished and very well equipped. The constantly changing views from the front of the apartment (three windows and two balconies) are incredible - even on the couple of days we had where the weather wasn't great, we were mesmerised by the comings and goings in the harbour opposite! The icing on the cake was the incredibly generous welcome hamper and flowers from the owners. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

Our only real issue was the seagulls who woke us every night !

I’m not sure if it’s possible to install some seagull deterrents around the roof to get a better nights sleep!

My holiday apartment was really lovely, clean, well appointed great location.

And I would love to stay again . But I would say that's got nothing to do with Sykes they are difficult to deal with.

I know that the stairs were mentioned in the apartment description but I think more emphasis should be placed on them.

There are a lot of stairs to carry your luggage up and a lot of stairs to climb each time you go out. Please accept the fact that whilst there, occupants will use the toilet facilities and more than one toilet roll would be useful. We donated the rest of our toilet roll purchase to the next occupants. An extra bin bag wouldn't go amiss too. Perhaps some consideration should be made in attempting to clean the windows, they were in quite a state as was the furniture on the balconies.

Fantastic apartment, perfect location and the extra car parking spaces were a god send for our party all coming from different locations.

Would definitely stay there again.

Dawn Catcher is a lovely modern penthouse, it has all the facilities you need to make your stay comfortable.

The welcome pack was super the best one we have ever received . There's a few points that need addressing though. 1. It states there are 3 flights of stairs but on arrival the penthouse was on the third floor but you had to climb 6 flights of stairs ! 2. Instructions to the oven, hob top,dish washer and washing machine would be very helpful.There are very vague instructions within the welcome pack for the oven and extractor fan but a folder with more detailed instructions would be more helpful. 3. The balconies could do with some attention. they had not been cleaned and the furniture could have been cleaned too. The table on one of the balconies had seen better days and the top was loose and blew over in the wind. 4. It was a bit worrying that our only means of escape in case of a fire was down the main stairway ! A long way to get down if the fire was on the other floors below. should there not be a fire escape ? ****Owner response**** Thank you very much for your feedback following your stay at Dawn Catcher. We’re thrilled you liked the Penthouse and are happy you enjoyed your stay. Thank you also for raising a few points, which we’d like to cover here. 1) The Penthouse is advertised as being on the 3rd floor. We’ve never actually mentioned in the description the number of flights of stairs, but for the benefit of future guests we can confirm there are 6 separate flights, two per floor due to the high ceilings within the building and as mentioned in the information there is no lift/elevator. 2) Thank you for the recommendation, instructions on how to use the appliances are available and we’ll look at collating these into a folder. 3) Thank you for highlighting the balcony furniture to us, we’re sorry it wasn’t clean and this will be addressed. 4) We take fire safety very seriously and do all we can to ensure guests safety,. It is our understanding that Bank House was internally reconstructed in 2002 in full compliance with all fire safety regulations. The Penthouse is on the 3rd floor of a building with 9 apartments. They are serviced by a wide, central stairway which is to be used as the fire escape. All apartments have fire doors in order to protect this central stairwell and the premises have central monitored fire/smoke detectors throughout. The Penthouse also includes additional independent smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, extinguishers and fire blanket. Moreover, the electrical fuse box was replaced just months ago with high standard circuit breakers to ensure guest safety.

Amazing apartment, fabulous views, great location.

Beautifully presented and very well equipped. Walking distance of town centre and Maritime Museum, can also walk to the beach in about 10 to 15 mins. Would wholeheartedly recommend staying here. Sitting on the balcony and taking in the views was just bliss. A few points of constructive feedback: 1) Please clear the drain in the en-suite, it is not draining the shower and therefore running the shower too fast will flood the room 2) For such a well equipped kitchen there was nowhere for store cupboard goods i.e. where do I put my cans, pasta, rice etc? 3) Considering what I paid I do not expect to be buying dishwasher tablets and bin liners Having said this would I would definitely stay here again, my family absolutely loved it. The accommodation wowed us and was accurately reflected in the images on the web site .

It has a fabulous location and is close to all amenities .The maritime museum opposite is really good value for families as once paid you have unlimited access . It cost £26 for the family . The living area is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped . We went to St Mawes on the ferry which was small but authentic . The local Gyllyngvase beach was a 15 minutes walk and had a very smart modern cafe the area which sold local dishes and snacks .The beach was clean and was sand /shingle it shelved at the waters edge and beach shoes would soften underfoot . We went on an overcast day and the waves were quite strong , but we enjoyed the experience and the children aged 2 and 4 loved making sand castles . Prior to arrival I made and enquiry about confirming the facilities in the apartment and the Sykes call handler was responsive professional and very helpful . I had a smaller issue whilst staying and I used live chat who were also very helpful and provided an instant response which helped . We had a lovely holiday in Falmouth and I would not hesitate booking with Sykes again , from deposit to payment it was effortless . I also used the Sykes app on my phone and I had all the information regarding my booking and the areawhich I found invaluable . Thanks to all at Sykes and I would love to return to Cornwall again , my first holiday in this area since my children were young and it did not disappoint

Dawn Catcher is superbly positioned up away from the traffic and potential intrusion at street level, with exceptional views across the bay, but literally yards from the front door is a plethora of shops, pubs and eateries - many of them quirky and exciting.

All you need in town is within 10-15 mins walk at most and a lot of it is just seconds away. Falmouth is well located for day or half-day trips to other interesting places too - The Lizard, St Michael's Mount, Minack, St Austell, Truro to name a few. Brilliant stay, and we were very lucky with the weather.

The accommodation was great.

Very spacious, nicely furnished, well-equipped, comfortable beds, lovely welcome hamper. Fantastic location at the end of the high street with views over the harbour. Easy parking too, which seems to be a luxury in Cornwall. The only downside is the fact that, being on the top floor of the building, there are 3 flights of stairs to contend with. This wasn't a problem for us (it helped work off all the delicious meals we had eaten in Falmouth), but it is something to be aware of. A very enjoyable holiday in excellent accommodation.
