Reviews

    • “Evergreen is set in a small hamlet of Rinsey just minutes from the footpath that leads you to the coastal path. The house is ideal for two to four people, but due to the small amount of downstairs living space (lounge and kitchen) I think six would have been too much. I think that this should be noted in your review for Helpful Holidays. The beds were very comfortable and the house clean with nice touches of scones, jam, cream, milk and a bottle of wine left for our arrival. It is ideal place for walking and touring, and we would love to return to this area again.”

    • “We loved it, loved the cottage, Margaret was helpful and smashing, we had gorgeous weather for the most part but ideally, feel the bathrooms could do with a little updating. Upstairs shower was as good as useless except for a dwarf, and the downstairs one was rather basic. But all in all, super. Thanks for everything. Jill Muir.”

    Mrs Muir, Stratford-upon-Avon, May 2018

Regional Information

RINSEY COVE The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks – a Post Office and general stores, beach cafe with fish & chips, and a beach/surf shop stocked with everything you could need for a great day at the beach. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birthplace of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers.
