We stayed as a group of close family friends across two of the barns (The Stable and the largest barn) and found both were absolutely wonderful and exactly what we needed. Immaculately clean, light, airy, spacious and so well appointed with all the mod cons, tasteful decor and thoughtful finishing touches. The barns are also brilliantly located and an ideal base for exploring the beauty of Cornwall. We're already looking forward to visiting again next year!

Our stay at Boskensoe Barns was delightful.

This was our third visit and the accommodation was very clean, spacious and well decorated. The grounds are well manicured and situated in the most glorious location. The dog exercise area was very useful. If there was just one thing I could change, it would be to have a little more storage for clothes. We can’t wait to return next year!

Such a fantastic place.

We arrived on a cold and grey day to a warm and cosy barn with everything and more you would ever need. The welcome pack was excellent and fresh flowers on the dining table gave a homely touch. The dog exercise area is a great idea and very secure. We just loved our stay at The Stable.

The Stables at Boskensoe Barns was just wonderful from driving through the remote control gates to see the beautiful Christmas lights to opening the door to find the most beautiful barn our accommodation for 5 nights which we wished had been longer.

The owners attention to detail on every aspect was really quite amazing and added to the experience of our stay. The IPad with Spotify streaming, Netflix, strong WiFi, the kitchen fitted with the best appliances and having products in the kitchen to start and continue your stay. The added bonus of having one of the best Welcome trays I have ever experienced to the lovely bottle of Champagne Christmas gift from the owners was such a surprise. Also having tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter and such more I could keep going. The lounge so comfortable modern furniture with wood burner and the logs, kindling, matches and firefighters all there ready for your use. The heating was controlled we never had touch it just so warm and cosy. The bedrooms both en-suite were just great, bathrobes, lovely fluffy touch and feel towels, king size and super king beds, tv, hairdryer again the touches you don’t ( or I have not ) seen in any other property and I have stayed in a few. The outside was perfect my dog loved it as did we she ran around the paddock happily however still loved run in the open field what a time she has had with fields and beaches. We had the most beautiful time and will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for making our Christmas.

The Stable at Boskensoe Barns is a beautiful place to spend your holiday in Cornwall.

Scrupulously clean, a thoughtful welcome pack awaits you on arrival for both you and our dog, and every comfort is thought of from, dressing gowns in your wardrobe, to a Netflix and Spotify account use if you wish. Set in a peaceful location, the gated grounds are beautifully kept and a lovely place to sit in and read a book. We didn’t not want to leave and shall definitely return!

This was our fourth stay and everything was excellent. We had high expectations and these were met or exceeded in every aspect. The Stable is so well equipped and comfortable, immaculately clean and a lovely welcome box of goodies.

My third time here.

Absolutely fabulous. It has to be the cleanest, most well kept holiday rental I have ever stayed in. Such a beautiful setting too, away from all the commercialism but still so accessible to my favourite places. It is lovely to stay somewhere where the kitchen is so perfectly stocked - everything matches, as it should do, and there is plenty of stuff. The cleaning is superb. It is a joy to stay here. Last week was amazing, the weather was spot on and The Stable as lovely as ever to come home to. Always sorry to leave Boskensoe....until next time!

The Stables was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

The beds were very comfortable and having the heated towel rail on all day was much appreciated. The cottage was very well equipped, everything we needed was there. We have stayed in several cottages all over the country and this was the best for comfort, cleanliness, and decor. We would recommend it without reservation .

It was a perfect base to explore the area. I would recommend the Ferryboat, we had a few lovely meals there. It is a shame the local pub wasn't as good.

Everything you need. Home from home. Our dog Skye loved the dog paddock. A very good facility. We will definitely stay again.

The Stable is a first class property, with high quality finishes and attention to detail that is unusual in a holiday property.

The Boskensoe Barns location is quiet and picturesque as is the village of Mawnan Smith and it was an ideal base to explore Cornwall. On arrival we were greeted with a ‘welcome pack’ of some basic groceries, which was a lovely touch. Tea, coffee, washing detergents (hand/machine and clothes washing machine) were provided. The property benefits from comfortable beds and lounge seating, a built-in Sonos system connected to Spotify, BBQ and outdoor seating. The only thing missing is a the ability to make ‘real’ coffee, such as a Nespresso type machine, but that is by no means a fault and just a personal wish! I’d highly recommend this property and indeed I hope to return one day.

Not our first stay at The Stables, it never fails to live up to expectations.

It’s clean, stylish yet comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. As they accept dogs the dog exercise area is a huge enclosed space for them to have a quick run around before going out for the beautiful walks in this area or before turning in for the evening. This place has everything that you will need for your stay. Very helpful and friendly owners.

Our fourth visit to The Stables and it is as good as ever.

Clean, comfortable, thoughtfully designed and maintained. Fresh flowers and a good welcome tray of Cornish produce was excellent. We had an issue with a broken dishwasher during our stay and it was repaired the same day.It’s location makes it an excellent base for exploring Cornwall.

We've previously stayed in the Pig House with our family last year which was fabulous but returned to the Stable for a weeks holiday being just my husband and I.

Absolutely perfect in every way. We will definitely be returning in the future. You will not be disappointed at all , the accommodation and location is PERFECT 5*

Great stay in a lovely converted stable with brilliant modern facilities.

Would recommend to others. Peaceful location but also not far from many attractions or the amenities of Falmouth.

Overall our stay was very good however we felt the seating in the living area a bit small, we also had a problem with the smoke alarm which disturbed a nights sleep despite calling owner and Sykes help line this was not resolved the alarm started at 1am and was still going off when we left the property at 10.

30 am this was very annoying .

The attention to detail, the high quality furnishings, bedding and equipment including the fabulous sound system surpassed expectations and made it difficult to leave. Really lovely extra touches like the toiletries, welcome goodies and flowers were also a lovely touch.

Had a fantastic stay at The Stables.

Everything was perfect, all essentials (and luxuries) provided. We brought our dog so it was brilliant to have use of the dog exercise area and a lovely touch to have a bowl and dog biscuits provided. Lovely helpful owners, anything we needed they got back to us instantly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will definitely be back

A well presented and high end property with great facilities and space with great outdoor spaces for the dogs as well.

We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Excellent cottage - equipped to a very high specification with lovely friendly owner.

We were blessed with great weather which made exploring the local area even better - just a shame that the better beaches are not dog friendly at this time of year - but it did not spoil our stay. Local pub is just a 10 minute walk away and equally friendly staff, decent food etc. The only improvement we could suggest is some hooks near the entrance door for dog leads/jackets etc - other than that - perfect.

A beautiful and well equipped barn conversion in a peaceful setting.

A great location to visit Falmouth and surrounding villages. Most importantly for us, a dog friendly environment. Both of our dogs loved their morning play, in the dog exercise area. Despite some very wet weather, we had a lovely time and hope to visit again soon.

We stayed for a week in December when temperatures were below zero, no problem at all as the heating was great.

We have 2 small dogs and made use of the excellent dog except use area, exceptional facility. Would highly recommend Boskensoe barns as a great place to stay with or without pets. Eddie and Cindy.

An absolute perfect place to stay.

Idyllic setting, superb accommodation and away from the commercial side of 'fashionable' Cornwall. So rural and rustic, yet the best self catering accommodation I have been in

This was our second visit, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

The addition of the secure dog exercise area was a very welcomed. Not more I can say, this is the benchmark I select holiday cottages moving forward.

We had the most amazing holiday in The Stable at Boskensoe Barns.

So much thought has been put into these barns, our stay was truly incredible. ❤️ We arrived to a welcome bottle of prosecco to toast our familymoon, along with flowers and a tray of local Cornish goodies! Bridget also popped over to say hello which was lovely. The accommodation is amazing, comfortable, with a luxury feel. We had brought all the usual holiday essentials but found we needed nothing, it was all provided, tea coffee sugar, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, washing machine pods, everything! We spent most of the summer evenings sat out front. Our little ones enjoyed the park on site and made friends with our lovely neighbours in the barn next door. They enjoyed looking at the cows in the next field and watching the tractor go by in the evening. The location is perfect, it's so quiet you would think you were in the middle of nowhere, but it's just a short drive to the local beaches, Falmouth, gardens etc. The local village shop and pub are just a little walk away. If I could give any suggestion for improvement, it would be to expand on the park area a little (some swings etc would be great), and a hot tub at each barn would be amazing! We enjoyed our stay so much we are already looking at visiting again next year. It was our first visit to Cornwall, we have fallen in love with Falmouth and Boskensoe Barns! x

The property is lovely, we had such a great time staying here, the dyson fan was really handy as we had our two children in the twin room and it gets very warm in there (we had great weather) and we couldn’t leave the doors open at night, so that was very useful!

All the mod cons were a great touch we just didn’t use them much as we were out all the time (would be really useful on wet days) The barns were so quiet, was lovely hearing the cows in the mornings. So many extra touches that really make the difference-washing/dishwasher tablets, welcome tray full of wonderful goodies, dog bowls-forgot ours -biscuits and bags etc, coffee tea the list goes on. Just fabulous!

Beautifully well-designed and finished conversion.

Very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. An excellent location with much to do in withing easy distance, much of it walking. Nice pub 15 minutes walk away and an amazing pizza van in Mownan Smith every Friday evening! Highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

The Stables were fantastic, we had everything we needed, all top notch.

If I had to nit pick I would say that it would have been good to have a USB plug built in but we had our own plugs so no problem. Super place, would definitely recommend.

The property was absolutely gorgeous, from the moment we stepped into the cottage we felt at home and at ease, and was welcomed with our gift on the table.

The flowers was another nice touch too. The cottage had everything we needed and more, facilities were at a high standard and beautifully finished. All the rooms were airy and bright and felt spacious. The additions of the Children’s space was great too. Loved this cottage!

This cottage was beautiful inside and out.

Everything was spotless. The owners were friendly and we even had a fresh bunch of flowers for us on arrival. Best cottage we have ever stayed in! One little thing, our cottage didnt have area walking guides on how to get to the coast or walking routes and i know the one next door did have. We got our bearings and asked a few locals apart from that i would give it a 6 out of 5

The Stables were exactly as described and with 36 years of having cottages etc to stay in twice a year, it ranks up in the top three.

How a previous customer in a review said ‘style over comfort’ together with other disparaging comments is unbelievable. The settee and chairs were extremely comfortable as were the beds. There was everything we needed plus more. The extras which were provided showed Bridget and Mark to be excellent hosts - it was in fact like staying in a 5 star hotel. It was a great location, we had a brilliant stay and I totally recommend this venue.

The barns are beautiful but very much "style over substance".

Probably designed by a man and never slept in by the owners for an extended period I would imagine. Eg: no hooks to hang anything, no storage space (you really need a dresser somewhere!), not enough tea towels, one small drying rack for clothes, a TERRIBLY designed sink and drying space for dishes, some of the kitchen utensils are great (like the knives) others severely lacking (like the scissors). High chair and cot provided but no baby bath. And no bath on the premises. Washed baby in bucket he was far too big for. Ventilation of bedrooms is rather poor so you're always too hot and the lighting is -again - beautiful to look at but either too low, too high, you bash your head on it etc. This place has HUGE potential and the owners seemed lovely but they need to live there for two weeks and then iron out the cracks. Hated working with Sykes as their customer services was constantly lacking (their staff felt grossly under trained to me) but it is what it is. Overall - a lack of self awareness from the booking company and the property owners.

We stayed at the stable at Boskencoe barns from 28th August to 3rd September.

The location of the barns is great, its quiet but within a 5/10 min to 2 beautiful beaches. The location is safe and secure allowing our young children to play outside and run freely, the outside play area is an added bonus. The accommodation is of a high spec with good attention to detail such as bread, milk and other necessities on arrival which really does make it a home from home. Very comfortable and luxurious. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The stable was beautifully presented and everything made perfect for a luxurious retreat.

The owners have gone above and beyond. All precautions and guidelines had been thought through given current circumstances and we were made to feel at ease about our stay. The local village is quaint and there are some wonderful beaches to explore close by. We won’t hesitate to book again

We booked at Boskensoe after having booked a tiny & disappointing cottage with another company last year.

We paid considerably more this time but were more than impressed with the space & luxury at Boskensoe. Lovely hosts & we were very impressed with the COVID-19 arrangements - everything was already provided so there was no need to contact our hosts during our stay.

The stables were what it said on the tin, it’s in a great place lots to do as long as you don’t mind driving.

The place was spotless and and it was like a 5 star hotel. You have 4 buildings on the site and with plenty of parking and our host was very welcoming, so if your after a nice weekend or week away this is for you.

However our latest holiday cottage at Bokensoe easily suppressed all to date.

No expense has been spared in furnishing this property. A very warm welcome from the owners and lovely extra touches with towelling robes,toiletries and a generous welcome pack. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and would definitely book again.

Perfect cottage as base for exploring cornwall, nice and warm welcome.

The area is well positioned for visiting many areas of Cornwall.

Locally there is enough places to visit within 15 minutes drive including places to walk and places to eat. We visited Padstow and Port Isaac approx 1hr 15 minutes drive and well worth the visit. Mostly dog friendly area however not on the beeches. There are many small coves if your dog likes to swim. The Stables is a perfect home from home accommodation with excellent facilities. Absolutely no negative feedback. Lovely holiday.

. Mark and Bridget are perfect hosts. The accommodation has 2 en suite bedrooms with amazing double rain showers and THE most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. Everything is top quality, furniture, bedding and towels, accessories, kitchenware and kitchen. The outside space has a patio with table, chairs and bench. French doors from the living area and bedroom 1 open onto this. The Stable is in the centre of a beautiful part of Cornwall with beaches, rivers, gardens, walks, pubs and restaurants all within minimal travelling distance. If the weather is chilly the log burner creates a warm cosy evening in. The week we stayed was very windy and, at times wet, but because of this superb property in a beautiful area we still had a perfect holiday.

Everything had been thought of, right down to the complimentary shower gel (it got us over the first night because SOMEONE had forgotten to pack ours).the welcome tray was a thoughtful touch with some quality Cornish goodies. We are so grateful to stay in a cottage of this standard with our dog. Brilliant!!

Amazing cottage and location, I could quite happily live here

A really high quality barn conversion in a fantastic location, accessible to all areas of West Cornwall.

The layout of the barn has been really well planned and incorporates high quality fittings throughout. Much thought has gone into making sure that everything you could possibly need for your holiday is available. We particularly loved the wall mounted ipad with Spotify in the kitchen and lounge! We will definitely be recommending this property to our friends and family and hope to return to Boskensoe Barns soon.

Great location on the edge of a village with stunning, dog friendly Trebah Gardens only a few minutes drive and Falmouth only a few miles away!

We had a wonderful holiday.

The barn is beautiful, spacious and extremely well equipped. Bridget and Mark the owners are lovely people. Falmouth is great with a wide choice of places to eat, and lots of sandy beaches near by. We would definitely recommend it.

Excellent property and hosts

This was an excellent holiday cottage with everything one would need provided.

Set in a peaceful and pleasant location wth excellent hosts. This has been the best holiday cottage we have stayed in over the last nine years and we use holiday cottages at least three times each year.

This is a beautifully converted barn and we really didn’t want to leave.

Immaculately clean, fantastically stylish and cosy at the same time. Everything one could possibly need is provided. Nice to sit out and a little play ground for the kids. A lovely, dog friendly beach within a 10 minute drive, Trebah Gardens couldn’t be closer and only 5 miles from Falmouth. Perfect spot!
