Swallow Cottage is a well-presented holiday cottage located just outside of the charming village of Mawgan in Helston. The friendly owners are pleased to introduce you to the rabbits, ducks and hens.Plenty of outdoor play space with swings, football goals, climbing frames, sandpit, picnic bench.Large games cabin (table tennis, pool table, games/toys, coin-operated tumble drier). With two bedrooms, this property sleeps four and has an enclosed patio and barbecue, making it a perfect base for families and friends seeking a holiday with their furry companion. Step into a nicely-decorated, open-plan living space where you'll find everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one. Cuddle up by the open fire in the sitting area to watch something on the TV or sit around the dining table for a few rounds of card games. Whilst your designated chef whips up a feast in the equipped kitchen, set up the table on the patio so you can enjoy some alfresco dining. Then unwind with a steaming bath or shower and retreat to the bedrooms to rest for the night. Explore your surroundings starting with a stroll around the stunning Trebah Gardens, visit Halliggye Fogou, an ancient cave thought to date from the 4th-century BC, then head to the quaint village of Mawgan for some delicious pub grub at The Ship Inn or stock up on some essentials at the village shop. Head over to the lovely town of Helston and visit the Museum of Cornish Life for a taste of history, make your way to Flambards Theme Park for a thrilling day of fun and treat your loved ones to an indulgent meal at the American-themed diner Boo Koos. Take the scenic route to the beautiful coastal town of Falmouth and spend the day lounging on Swanpool Beach, walk up to the show stopping
Pendennis Castle and enjoy sweeping views of the ocean at Pendennis Point, end the day with a stroll and picnic at
Queen Mary Gardens. Endless memories are waiting to be made at Swallow Cottage. Swallow Cottage impresses with its fantastic location, peace, and seclusion.
It's the ideal retreat for exploring Cornwall's sights on a daily basis. The location offers particularly good conditions for dog owners, complemented by the thoughtful and friendly hostess. We spent two unforgettable weeks in this cozy holiday home. Due to the sometimes very narrow and winding roads, a mid-size compact car is recommended for reaching the cottage. We had our van with us, so even more careful driving is advisable.
Lovely clean cottage in a beautiful peaceful area.
Such a lovely cottage set in a very quiet location equipped with everything you need, very comfortable and clean with a field for the kids to play in.
On arrival was greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed there was a pint of milk and tea and coffee with biscuits and chocolates left to welcome us in which was appreciated. would certainly like to return to this cottage again.
