Lovely property set within a residential area.

It is up a very steep hill so maybe not ideal for anyone with mobility problems. The property itself it’s lovely, well equipped and well maintained. My only slight comment would be that there is no stair gate for the top of the stairs to stop dogs & small children going downstairs as per the very reasonable rules. Also the doors leading to the Juliet balcony leave a large gap with a big drop that small dogs could fall through(we have a miniature sausage dog) therefore we couldn’t have the doors open so the living room/ kitchen area became very hot even with the fans on! Despite the little issues I would definitely return and recommend this property.

The property was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and finished to a very high standard. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the hot tub was the perfect place to relax after a day exploring Cornwall. The location was excellent – just a short walk into Newquay town centre, the beaches, restaurants, and shops, while still being peaceful and quiet. The secure parking was also a huge bonus. We really appreciated the thoughtful welcome touches, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The owners have clearly put a lot of care into the property, and it shows. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and made some lovely memories. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend An Drowes to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and well-located place to stay in Newquay.

Great homely and modern accommodation.

We found it ideally positioned to walk to beaches and the main centre of Newquay for all sorts of eateries and shops. We especially liked the hot tub, spacious open plan living and secure gated parking. Will be recommending to others.

Absolutely fantastic house very close to the town centre 5-10 minutes walk.

House had all the amenities you’d expect and the hot tub was very well used. One of the nicest houses we have stayed at. AWESOME!

An Drowes is a great base for Cornwall.

Excellent facilities, spotlessly clean, comfortable and great kitchen. Great have private parking, easy walk to the town and sea front. Nice touch with the greeting card and cream tea on arrival. Had a great stay, many thanks.

We loved our stay at An Drowes, the property was spotless and very comfortable.

It has everything you need for self catering break. The hot tub is a bonus. The location is within 5 to 10 minutes walk from the centre of Newquay. We would definitely stay here again. The owner is easily contactable and resolved a small issue we had within 24 hours.

This property was fantastic!

Already booked to go back next September! Great location, high spec, very luxurious. Not easy to find mind you but once we found it and parked up everything was a breeze.

When we arrived just after 4pm which was check in time, Cleaners were still on the property cleaning.

They told us we could go inside and they would finish cleaning around the property. After a journey starting at 5am, come the 4pm check in time we just wanted to ne settled in but having people still on the property made us feel uncomfortable and we couldnt settle in and unwind like we wanted to. The apartment was how it is shown in photos and it was lovely. We had a few problems wirh cleaniness. Firstly the Hot Tub, when we opened the covers to get in, we saw dirt all around the sides, we left it expecting someone to come out and do daily checks on the hot tub which usually happens where ever we have stayed in this past. No one had been once to check this. With it been the weekend we waited. Come tuesday we got in touch with customer services. Nothing got done about this and it was left dirty the rest of our holiday. We paid the extra for this apartment so we could have use of a hot tub which we didnt use once. We didnt want to clean it as we shouldnt have to waste our holiday by cleaning the hot tub also we wasnt sure whether someone would be sent out or not but this ruined the time of our stay. We are currently resolving this with customer services but it doesnt seem to be getting anywhere. As for the rest, as few things werent cleaned properly but was minor which we cleaned. Whether this was all rushed as we were ready to check in and they were running over im unsure of.

Absolute luxury, well maintained accommodation situated perfectly in Newquay for easy walking access to Fistral & Towan beaches, the town centre and the harbour.

Great location for travelling out to places like the Eden Project and Lands End. High Recommend.

Beautiful house in a perfect location!

We enjoyed a 7 night stay in this property and it was just like being at home, all the little extras had been thought about! The hot tub was perfect. If I was to be picky the only thing to improve on would be the check in time, it was a little late at 5pm as you miss most of your first day.

Everything you need is a short walk or drive away. The hot tub was perfect to relax in the evenings.

The cream tea left for us was delicious and much appreciated after a ten hour drive. Finished to a very high standard with a lovely view of the bay .my only gripe is the shower in smaller bedroom is not up to much. And although dog friendly no grassed area within property walls or nearby outside so had to keep going for a walk in the dark with torch .and gate at top of the stairs would have been helpful as no dogs allowed downstairs and my dog can't read

We have just returned from our weeks holiday at this beautiful property, the most beautiful property I have ever stayed at.

When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely card and fresh scones ( which were amazing! ) the living room/kitchen is absolutely beautiful along with the view of the see. The bedrooms were perfect and the beds were comfy, and to top it off a perfect size hot tub which we enjoyed every single day we were there. The location of the property is perfect and walking distance into town/beach. The washer/dryer was Available and we were able to wash our clothes which saved a lot of hassle when we returned home. I cannot pick a fault with this property at all, we were very happy and can’t wait to return next year hopefully. Perfect hosts with every effort made to ensure guests have the most perfect stay.

for me personally . Directions to find property could be much easier . The parking is a real hassel not really highlighted in pictures neighbours parking vans opp gates. Tvs could do with updating as don't allow the stick in back to be able to watch programmes ie sport . Lovely home lost where it is

We have stayed in a few self-catering holiday properties and I was surprised at how easy everything was.

The standard of the property was very high and with the information left for us and a nice greeting card we very quickly felt at home. The property was clean and very comfertable, and fully matched the images displayed on the website.

A convenient base to walk to the town, zoo and beaches.

Clean and well equipped. The owners quickly and swiftly sorted out a new aerial in one day - fantastic.

A very modern appartment with two large bebrooms and large kitchen/living room.

Not much to view when using the outside seating area. Surprisingly quiet area, if you do not include the seagulls.

Hot tub was green and disgusting to use, had to contact the owner twice to resolve the issue as it had not been cleaned properly, so didn’t use it in the end to which is disappointing as we paid for it.

The fact they had an engineer booked to service the dishwasher due to the misuse, from other people renting the apartment before us our holiday to which ruined our last day is disgusting, tradesmen shouldn’t be in the holiday rental until it’s vacant as we paid for privacy etc.. The main tv in the living room is terrible and won’t work properly as dated and needs replacing, so don’t expect much from this on an evening when you put kids to bed and want to relax. The owners sit back and make thousands of pounds without a care of who’s holiday they ruined, won’t be visiting again as its not as advertised and falsely advertised. Also it’s worth mentioning the pictures look like your based on the sea front, unfortunately your are not and it’s actually located in the middle of people’s garages and rear gardens so no privacy whatsoever. Enjoy your stay at An Droves the place is beautifully miss advertised.

Absolutely fantastic stay in a beautiful, well equipped house.

The host was lovely and we couldn’t have asked for a more centrally located property. The added bonus of private parking a real plus. The only issue was that the mattresses are a little soft, but maybe just my preference.

We had a lovely week at An Drowes in June 2023 and would highly recommend.

The property was spotlessly clean upon arrival and we were very impressed with the quality of furnishings and facilities. Everything feels brand new! We also thought the hand written card and freshly baked scones upon arrival were a personal touch. Location is great for access to the town and beaches as well as exploring other areas of Cornwall. You also have lots of choice nearby for food as well as several supermarkets. The only downside to our stay (which was quickly rectified) is that we noticed on arrival that the hot tub water was green in colour rather than clear/blue with a very strong chemical smell. We didn’t think anything of this and also didn’t want to complain, but unfortunately after the first use two of our party had experienced a burning sensation and rash on their back and legs immediately after coming out of the water and after the second day and use we all had the same. We notified this to the owner and on the same day the hot tub water was replaced with crystal clear water and we didn’t experience any further issues. Despite the small issue as it was handled quickly and as it didn’t spoil our stay, we would highly recommend choosing this property and would revisit again in the future when deciding to stay in Newquay. An Drowes was a fabulous base for our girls holiday to Newquay.

Just a short walk into the town so it was very easy to get anywhere. The house itself was spotlessly clean and has everything you could need. The cream tea left for us on our arrival was a lovely touch. A real plus point for us was the gated parking for two cars, as we were really struggling to find anywhere with parking for two. This really gave us peace of mind during our holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend An Drowes to anyone wanting to stay in Newquay.

The owners were very thoughtful and the house was really clean and modern with everything we needed.

It’s ideally located to walk to Newquay central or to Towan or Fistral beach. We would definitely recommend and we will be booking again next year

Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable.

All appliances, utensils of good quality too. We didnt use hot tub as looked like needed a bit of a clean but otherwise a really lovely stay. We're very familiar with Newquay having been visiting since 80s, this is located close to town. A bit untidy in the area behind but as far as an drowes is concerned, a perfect place to stay. Really lovely home, Well thought out and easy enough to have a quiet day at the house - or go to a great beach or a nice - not too busy town centre The host left some essentials and some cream Jam and scones which were really thoughtful

Absolutely stunning place and perfect location, took two goes round the block to find it as kept missing turning, on arrival lovely home made scones and Jam and cream and milk for a coffee thankyou so much was a lovely thoughtful gesture to do after a long journey to get here ,the whole house is amazing and we didnt want to leave ,wish I'd booked longer ,next time will do ,hot tub was lovely for my daughter when it worked might need a little attention as few times kept cutting out ,first few days of using it ,but she enjoyed it ,after a long walk in the day visiting places ,only other thing would be the shower is definitely better in room with the patio doors, it's amazing ,other one doesn't drain to good ,but wasnt a problem ,as they just used mine ,beautiful place ,could wake up here every morning, beds are very comfy ,we had lovely weather which was a bonus ,everything we needed was here two keys would be ideal if going separate ways but guessing that's why the key safe there also ,but a lot of people don't like using them so that could be an idea ,our daughter lives here now to in Crantock so not far away ,so was ideal for us to be in Newquay, can't wait to visit again ,once again thankyou so much for making our stay even better by having a lovely place to come home to after a long day ,see you soon we will be back regards Karen Steven and Charlotte and Paris

Hidden gem in the area !

Shower in room 2 is not as powerful as it could be ! The whole property is such a high spec so it was a shame about the shower ! Also beds are a bit lumpy … but some may like that ! Reminder for the cleaner….The skylight area and window ledge need a dust too every so often !!!

We just had a week stay at An Drowes and it will be a week me and my family never forget!

An Drowes is immaculate! Spotlessly clean and finished to the highest standard. On arrival we even had a hand written card and freshly baked scones! The children absolutely loved the hot tub, and the location of An Drowes is a few minutes short walk from the beach, restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend An Drowes and would 100% be back again.

An Drowes was a great holiday, the pictures didn’t do it justice.

Hotel standards with a homely feeling. They had thought of everything you needed to make your stay. The welcome home made scones after a long journey was a great treat! The bedrooms were are a great size and bigger than expected, love the upside down house taking great advantage of the view of the sea. Hot tub was great after long walks in Newquays and loved the touch of plastic glasses so the holiday drinks could keep flowing. We will be visiting again

Had an amazing stay at An Drowes.

The property is perfect, with everything you could wish for and so much more. The personal card & Cream Tea on arrival was a lovely touch and the Hot Tub was very welcome after a long days driving. We would definitely return.

We had a lovely stay.

It was at the end of storm Eunice so the weather wasn't great but we still managed a few dips in the hot tub once the tree above it settled down. The house was comfortable and well equipped. We had problems with the Internet mid week which got sorted the day we left... Things like this happen, but communication with the owner could have been easier. View of the sea was lovely, the house was handy for walking into town and for getting in and out of Newquay, and the parking was secure.

A property to be proud of.

A few points, probably in the key collection notes it probably would be best to say where the key safe was. We couldn’t book in till 5.00 and the weather was horrendous and it took us a while in the dark to find it. Entering the property was lovely with the Xmas tree and the cleanliness The scones were amazing thank you. We did have a problem with the hot tub as the electrics had unfortunately tripped for this and the water was stone cold which was disappointing as we couldn’t use it for two nights. The owners were very apologetic and did come out the next morning. The property was done to a high spec and the shower was amazing. Views outside the windows were spectacular. The bed for me was too soft but that’s just personal choice. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend.

This is an amazing property.

So very clean with every thing you need. The little extra touch of a cream tea on arrival milk in the fridge is so thoughtful. After a long journey it’s the little things like this that stand out. We used the hot tub every day after nice long walks it was great. Would definitely re book.

We had a lovely time, clearly a great deal of time and money has been spent on making this holiday home into a great place to stay.

Very modern, clean and tidy. We were very comfortable staying here. Shame about the area it is in as it is very run down, but it didn’t spoil our stay at all. A couple of things I think need addressing and that is when I stripped the bedding as asked before we left. there were no pillow protectors. This is a must especially with what we have all been through in the last year, also on the duvet itself, on both beds were some yellow stains. The mattress had a protective cover but they didn’t want this stripped off. I would say that needs washing each time. Also we were very lucky with the weather and spent time sitting outside on the outside furniture. There was a lot of dried bird droppings and would of been nice if this could of been washed down and brushed away. If you have an electric toothbrush take an adapter as there is no electric shaving sockets in the bathrooms. The owners left us homemade scones with cream and jam on our arrival and milk. Which I felt was a lovely touch. Also a card welcoming us with some great recommendations for dog walks. We felt very at home all week and the hot tub was a bonus and very relaxing. Thank for letting us stay.

An Drowes is a beautiful home in a convenient location for all that Newquay offers.

It is in a quiet location yet only a 5 minute walk from the lively centre. There are two excellent beaches (Fistral & Newquay) both of which are within easy walking distance. Absolutely loved our week at this location.

Our 2nd visit to An Drowes and hopefully it won't be our last.

Can't fault anything regarding the house. Really enjoyed our holiday there this year and will be looking forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful house perfect Location.

The cottage was extremely clean, which made us feel really comfortable in these strange times.

The location was on easy walking distance of Fistral and some lovely shops and restaurants in Newquay. We were also able to take some wonderful day trips which were only 10-15 minutes drive. It was lovely to come back to a soak in the hot tub after a long day of surfing/body boarding. We really loved it! Thank you!

Amazing!

We arrived home at 5.30pm and by 6.30pm we had already booked another week at An Drowes later in the year, that says how good it is stunning house in a great location, the surrounding area is a little run down but that doesn’t take anything away from it at all, the perfect place to explore the wonderful County of Cornwall.

This is our second (but hopefully not our last) visit to the lovely An Drowes.

It’s so easy to relax on the sofa and watch the waves, have a soak in the hot tub and sink into a deep sleep on the comfiest beds. The location is quirky, and ideal for accessing all that Newquay has to offer on foot, and a great base for exploring the beauty of Cornwall by car. We love this house. Thank you to the owners for the very personal welcome card - we hope to be back soon x

We have had such a lovely week, your accommodation has been absolutely perfect for our family, what a beautiful space and in such a wonderful location (especially for us with a baby and push chair) A less than 5 minute stroll to town and the beach. The accommodation is also so very well equipped, unlike many holiday homes. All the appliance and crockery are top of the range and the beds were so very comfortable. The clotted cream, jam and scones were a lovely touch on our arrival. A beautiful home from home with a lovely view of the sea. The owners are also very helpful and accommodating. 5 stars from us!!

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.

very clean and everyone is very friendly.It pretty hard to find but it’s a beautiful area lovely scenery. Will definitely be returning when the weather is warmer!

Lovely apartment, clean and very modern, comfy beds.

Only fault was the area, it was very run down and not much to do in Newquay this time of year. Glad of the gate to the drive way to the apartment. Luckily we ventured around and explored local areas during our stay. Owner very pleasant and lovely left milk and cream tea for us.

The house was absolutely immaculate, better than the pictures!

So much bigger too, extremely comfy beds and spacious sofa, washing machine and very convenient dryer. Everything in the kitchen was very modern and pristine. Two minute walk to the beach and all the shops and a supermarket, all in all a really lovely week!

It's an amazing place that is even better than it looks in pictures, with very high quality furniture and appliances and a very personal feel.

What a Corker of a place, a real diamond in the rough.

the surrounding area is a little run down but that doesn't take away the from the quality of An Drowes. we had a wonderful 3 night stay here and loved every second, from entering to find the owners had left us a cream tea, to the short walk to the town and beaches. the beds are fabulous, the en-suites are lovely, the fixtures and fittings are all quality, the hot tub very private, ample secure car space and it was just a fantastic place to be, there were plenty of reviews saying that the owners are lovely but everything was so good we didn't need to call them and they left us alone. we forgot to sign the visitor book (sorry) but some reviews were a little put out by the request to clean before you leave, we didn't mind this at all, if i owned this house i'd want it looked after too!! fantastic, no complaints whatsoever.

Great holiday home and great location close to town centre and shops pubs cinema etc x stunning view of the beach and harbour too.

Only thing I would suggest is a dog gate at top of stairs to stop them going down to the bedrooms as they are requested not to go down. Aside from that minor detail a great holiday home very new and modern and the hot tub is fab too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and have already booked to return.

There is not a better word for An Drowes! The house is even nicer than on the pictures with lots of details to discover. Our vacation could not have been more comfortable and after the first week the bedding and linen was changed and the house was even cleaned for us. This place is perfect for people who enjoy comfort in a clean surrounding and like things to be neat and tidy. The location is excellent with walking distances (only small hill to climb) to the city center, supermarkets, the beaches etc. Newquay as such is a perfect location to use as base to discover Cornwall and Devon. Enjoy your vacation...

This is a beautiful property with everything you could want but it is not dog friendly.

Within 5 minutes of being there our dog’ s leg had gone through the metalwork on the front stairs of course she panicked luckily we were there to prevent her damaging her leg. Not a good start, she’s a fit healthy young dog but after this incident she wouldn’t go near the stairs we had to buy rubber mats to cover the gaps in the metalwork. We would stay here again but wouldn’t bring the dog.

The property was fabulous, the only thing we thought let it down was the area surrounding ( very built up and dirty looking).

Short walk to the beach which was fab, beaches were stunning! This is a fabulous property we just weren't impressed with the area!

We had a great week (24/9 - 31-9) the house is fantastic and very clean.

The accommodation was easy to find and very well place with easy access to Newquay town centre and the beach within a 5 minute walk. The owners of the house were very helpful when a seagull used the hot tub as toilet!!!!!!!!!!! They came straight out and emptied, cleaned and refilled the tub without loosing any relaxation time!!!! Overall and fantastic house in a great location with very helpful and nice owners, I would highly recommend booking this again.. Many Thanks Paul

Whilst the apartment was of the expected high standard and very comfortable the long list of rules around cleanliness was I believe excessive.

The house is located centrally for fistral beach and Newquay town centre as long as you don't mind the walk uphill back home. The property was tastefully decorated and equipped to a high standard but the surrounding area was run down. We had a fantastic stay overall.

As the first people to stay at An Drowes I can honestly say the property is in a class, of its own, in comfort, style and luxury against any other holiday letter we have ever stayed in.

From the owners personal touches and the superb location, I can only speak of the property in the highest regard. We look forward to returning next year.
