Sarah “We stayed in Magnolia cottage at the end of October and had a lovely time.”
The cottage had everything we needed and more it was really homely and beautifully decorated, we loved the wood burner and used this most nights. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and the cakes were delicious, Paul and Julie were great hosts. We felt the cottage was central to most things we wanted to do and because of this we would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.
- Sarah, October 2019Karen “Magnolia Cottage is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in, it was cosy, comfortable and exceptionally clean and furnished to a very high standard.”
This is all down to the hard work of Julie and Paul who were so welcoming. The homemade cakes and Prosecco were much appreciated and the swimming pool was lovely too. Sancreed is a great location for exploring the dramatic Cornwall Coastline and stunning scenery, we particularly enjoyed exploring the 'Tin Coast', there's so much to see and do. Would highly recommend accommodation and location.
- Karen, October 2019Anne-lisa “I am not very often lost for words but can safely say that Magnolia Cottage did exactly that.”
Paul and Julie were the best hosts you could ever ask for. And as for Flo, well she was the cherry on the cake!
- Anne-lisa, September 2019Jaqueline “We had a really nice week/stay at Magnolia Cottage.”
From the moment we arrived to the time we left nothing was too much trouble for Paul & Julie. The attention to detail in the cottage/grounds was 5star all the way. We would not hesitate in recommending this location/accommodation to anyone.
- Jaqueline, September 2019Sue “Very comfortable cottage in a secluded location.”
Great to have a swimming pool as a relaxing bonus. Julie and Paul and the dog were very welcoming. We found Sancreed to be a good centre for visiting gardens and coastal resorts in West Cornwall.
- Sue, September 2019Colin “Magnolia is very comfortable holiday let in a peaceful setting on Penwith.”
Facilities are first class. The owners are friendly and very helpful.
- Colin, September 2019Kirsty “Wonderful cottage, with great facilities.”
Paul and Julie were very welcoming and provided lots of useful information. Pool was fabulous. Only slight down was the lack of a curtain over the door window, needed for privacy! Am assured they're going to sort it.
- Kirsty, September 2019Miriam “A beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting.”
Everything about it was perfect from start to finish. It is obvious immediately that Paul and Julie have put a lot of thought and careful consideration into every aspect of the cottages and setting. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable with lots of little thoughtful extras. The indoor pool was for us one of the highlights. The warm welcome, bottle of prosecco and yummy homemade cakes were gratefully received after a long journey. It was a delight to come back to the cottage each evening after a busy day exploring. We would highly recommend Magnolia Cottage! The cottage is in the village of Sancreed which although well away from the bustle of a Cornish summer is within easy reach of Penzance, St Just, Mousehole, Cape Cornwall, St Ives ,the Minack theatre and numerous stunning beaches. We had a busy week exploring all that the area has to offer. We are spoilt for choice about what to recommend but our top two would be the coastal walk from Cape Cornwall to Sennen (5 miles each way) and an evening performance at the Minack theatre (book early and take plenty of warm clothes).
- Miriam, August 2019Johannes “The three Sancreed-cottages are perfect endowed and located in a generous plot.”
Julie and Paul gave us a warm welcome and were always around, when we needed help. They made the place so special. We really enjoyed the time in the fondly decorated cottage. Sancreed is a good starting point where you can reach either the stunning cliff paths, the beaches, the coastal towns or the ancient monuments. Johannes & Ute
- Johannes, August 2019Paul “We had a lovely stay at Magnolia cottage.”
The grounds and gardens where the cottage is based in Sancreed are amazing and perfect for relaxing. From the moment we arrived, we were really impressed with the cottage and couldn't have asked for a better base to go out and explore the nearby areas. Sancreed is a small peaceful village with plenty of local walks nearby and there was a very useful guide in the cottage which gave recommendations on places to see. Julie and Paul as hosts were very welcoming and were always on hand if needed. We had a lovely card waiting for us on arrival in our cottage with prosecco and homemade cakes which were delicious. The cottage had everything we needed and more. The indoor pool on site was superb and an excellent extra which you could book to have exclusively to yourselves, which was perfect for us to use after a day out exploring. We would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a wonderful cottage in a beautiful location.
- Paul, July 2019Raymond “Magnolia cottage was one of 3 cottages set in beautiful grounds of Sancreed House .”
All the cottages were very attractive with all modern conveniences It was obvious that Julie and Paul had put in a lot of work to provide a beautiful sanctuary for people wanting a peaceful and relaxing retreat The grounds had an added bonus of an indoor pool . Julie and Paul were very professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble , they went out of their way to make sure our holiday stay was memorable I would recommend this lovely place to anyone Ann and Bruce
- Raymond, July 2019Gail “From the moment we drove through the private gate and down the gravelled driveway we knew we were in for a treat.”
. The cottages are set in the grounds of sancreed house over looking the lawns, indoor pool and village church. We were met by the owners Paul and Julie and their dog. It was like meeting old friends as they made you feel so welcome and put you at ease straight away . For the week we were there they were always available if you needed anythink. We spent some great days out some of which had been recommended to us by paul and Julie. Returning back to the cottage at the end of days out was so peaceful and relaxing . You could quite easily spend the day there sitting on your patio reading or relaxing in the sun or taking a dip in the pool knowing your in a private secluded garden. We can honestly say we wanted for nothing. It was one of the best places we have ever stayed and can't recommend highly enough. Hopefully not too many people will find this little gem because we may struggle to book for next year.
- Gail, June 2019Bernie “Cottage in lovely location.”
A warm welcome from the hosts. Very enjoyable.
- Bernie, June 2019Steve “Upon our arrival at the cottage we were overwhelmed with the secluded location of the cottages and the superior quality of the individual cottages within.”
Furthermore, the owners of the cottages Paul and Julie gave us a reception we were least expecting. Their friendliness was a delight after our six hour journey. it really set us up for a great holiday ahead. furthermore, we were overwhelmed when the owners offered to take us to the local supermarket to stock up for the week ahead. this we didn't expect. but it was gratefully received. During our two week stay we were chatting together as though we had known them for quite sometime. We cannot believe the hospitality they showed to us, we can only marvel at their friendliness, but gratefully received. Everything was quality and the standards were exceptional throughout. The facilities in the cottages had everything one would expect to find to support you during the holiday. We can only say that 10 out of 10 is a must for anyone wishing to stay here. You will not be disappointed.
- Steve, June 2019Michael “Brilliant Hosts.”
Magnolia at Sancreed House is in a wonderful setting. The cottage has all the facilities needed. Well located in South Cornwall it is ideal for all well known resorts. Would definitely stay there again.
- Michael, May 2019Karen “From the moment we arrived, Paul and Julie made sure we were made to feel very welcome and throughout our stay they were helpful and friendly.”
The cottage was immaculate with lots of little extra touches to make it even more special....home made cakes and prosecco amongst them. There was also a swimming pool on site which we were able to use and book private slots if we liked. This area of Cornwall is beautiful and there were many places to explore, but at the end of each day Magnolia Cottage was a haven of peace and tranquility to return to. We enjoyed every minute.
