Reviews

    • “Lovely experience, family live next door found scones, cream jam & milk in fridge. Very accomodating, and the aga was wonderful and cosy. Good area for sight seeing in North Cornwall.”

    Mrs Wiltshire, Horley, October 2018

    • “Tresungers Cottage is part of a farm and is a lovely place. There is plenty of room, lots of character and, if you have dogs, well kept garden space to walk them. Location is good too, there is lots to do locally and the cottage has room for storing bicycles, surfboards etc. The owners are nice friendly people and very helpful too. Would we go again? Yes, Polzeath, Port Issac, Newquay, Wadebridge are all worth visiting and the cottage is an easy, relaxing place to stay.”

    Mr Eagle, Banbury, September 2018

    • “Absolutely brilliant place great and friendly family would recommend to anyone. Five star”

    Mr Gort, Littleborough, September 2018

    • “We had a fantastic holiday, owners very friendly and helpful. Cottage is perfect for a family and so much to do in the area.”

    Dr Winter, Leicester, July 2018

    • “Our family (seven persons, children from 10 to 15 years old) was glad to be at this place, nice accomodation, friendly owners. We would like to come back.”

    Mr Wolf, Kassel, July 2018

    • “We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful location. The cottage was clean and comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome.”

    Mrs Williamson, Ilkeston, June 2018

    • “Didn’t book through Sykes but Booking.com. Sykes were unhelpful when we ran them for contact details as we didn’t book through them! Well located house part of working farm super family and great for dogs. Fantastic warm house due to Rayburn and log burner even though no central heating. Comfy. A great bolt hole. Not £100 returnable deposit as stated but we did have to pay £45 for the dogs when we arrived - again not stated.”

    Mrs Leach, Wells, October 2018

The Property

On a 160 acre working farm (cattle, sheep) which you’re welcome to wander, ½ mile from St Endellion, 1½ by footpath from Port Isaac and 1 from a pub, a lovely old granite farmhouse (13th cent. origins) with thick stone walls, leaded-light mullioned windows and slate sills. We let half the farmhouse (shared with the friendly owners) and a neat, first-floor apartment in the west wing. 'Doc Martin' scenes were filmed here. At the front, a shared lawned garden (picnic bench, barbecue) with trampoline and swing (your risk). Access over 500 yards of rough hardcore lane. Spring water. Good value accommodation in a very popular area the farmhouse has a private side garden, from which 3 steps down to kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric cooker) with oil-fired Rayburn for extra cosiness. Step up to living room looking to garden and fields beyond, with TV/DVD, table/chairs and woodburner. Loo. Stairs from kitchen up to three bedrooms - a big roomy double, an equally big double plus single, and a room with 4' bed; shower-room; separate loo. Lovely long rural views from upstairs.

St Endellion: hamlet with superb church (famous music festivals in August and at Easter), 1½ miles from the sea at Port Isaac. Port Quin, hamlet at the head of a ‘fjord’ (beautiful walks), 3 miles; Polzeath and Rock, 5.
