    “First time booking through Sykes and 20+ years since visiting Cornwall, this let did not disappoint.”

    Firstly, the location is amazing, from a nice stroll down the road to the cliffs to watch the sunset, to driving to St Ives, Penzance and even Newquay! Secondly, the let itself, the reviews (whilst amazing) still did not do it justice, there is everything there you could possibly need! The treats for the dog were a lovely welcome as ours were not to hand, the scones were a lovely touch and just having thought of everything allowed us to feel comfortable with our pooch! The treats for the dog were a lovely welcome as ours were not to hand, the scones were a lovely touch and just having thought of everything allowed us to feel comfortable with our pooch! (A fan was even left for us with the hot weather! How thoughtful!) There’s a range of books and board games and the tele allows you to log on to most streaming platforms should you want to. Lastly, the book that’s left really did help, guiding through on information for absolutely anything! I personally liked the walking trails offered. It really was a pleasure to stay here and definitely plan on coming again!

Five Degrees West is a special bolt-hole designed for couples in real-life Poldark country with glorious open rural views to the sea and the isles of Scilly on the horizon.

Head along winding countryside lanes to this area of outstanding natural beauty on the outskirts of the town of St Just, in the far west of Cornwall.

Peaceful but not isolated with a spattering of outlying neighbours, including the owner's home, this rural location is bliss for ramblers, romantics, beachcombers and city escapees seeking some serious R&R. Five Degrees West is wonderfully placed for coastal escapades and exploring the rugged character of this incredible corner of the county.

Heaven for ramblers, you can walk from the door with dog in tow along the south west coast path on tall granite cliffs or immerse yourself in wild moorland for stunning scenery.

Discover a warm welcome at St Just and traditional pubs serving food, cafes, art galleries, super-market, baker, butcher and greengrocer.

Spectacular Cape Cornwall peninsula, Priests Cove and the secluded beach at Cot Valley are also nearby.

The world class beaches at St Ives and Sennen and the landmark attractions at iconic Land's End, the island topped castle of St Michael's Mount and The Minack, Cornwall's famous open-air cliff-top theatre, are all less than a 20 minute drive. Step inside onto an open plan living room with exposed beams, oak wood flooring and a sleek kitchen equipped with all the mods cons including a coffee maker.

Kick back on the oversized reclining sofa, the perfect spot to enjoy the DAB radio, a movie, board game or good book from the selection provided.

Guests will sleep soundly in the comfortable bedroom and wake to the dreamiest views and invigorating showers.

Dogs are well catered for too with complimentary dog treats, food and water bowl and freshly laundered blanket and towels.

Outside is a small enclosed sun-trap courtyard with garden furniture for distant sea views and alfresco meals.

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
