The Hayloft is a charming cottage created from a converted hayloft above former stables, nestled within the quiet hamlet of Water near the Devon village of Manaton and the edge of Dartmoor.

Ideal for families and couples, this countryside retreat offers a peaceful setting from which to explore the surrounding moorland and rural scenery.

A gravelled pathway from the parking area beside the owners' farmhouse leads through a courtyard to the entrance, where a generous tiled hallway provides plenty of space for coats, boots and walking equipment.

Upstairs, the open-plan living area makes the most of the far-reaching views towards Black Hill, with large windows framing the rolling countryside beyond.

The hand-crafted kitchen and dining area sit at one end of the room, while comfortable leather seating and a wood-burning stove create a welcoming place to relax after a day outdoors.

Each of the three bedrooms offers comfortable accommodation and benefits from its own en-suite bathroom.

Outside an enclosed traditional courtyard provides a pleasant spot to sit and unwind.

A peaceful escape with superb walks from the door into the heart of Dartmoor.
