On arrival, benefit from off-road parking, before entering your new home-from-home, starting off in the contemporary sitting room, complete with a plush leather sofa, a Smart TV, and a woodburning stove, offering the perfect space to unwind after a day of travelling.
Head into the spacious kitchen/diner, fitted with state-of-the-art appliances and dining space for six guests, where you can prepare meals and gather as a family.
As the night unfolds, enjoy an indulgent dip in the private hot tub, watching the sun set over Devon, before venturing upstairs and catching some rest in one of the three well-appointed bedrooms; select between the master king-size with a Smart TV and handy en-suite shower room, a further king-size, and a bunk room, complete with handmade, oak frames.
Awaken to a long soak in the luxury, free-standing copper bath, before heading to the farm for a meet-and-greet with the livestock, a tour of the farm or a meeting with calves and lambs depending on the time of year.
Once you're ready to explore, make your way towards Haytor Rocks where cattle roam freely in the summer, or the beautiful surroundings of Becky Falls Ancient Woodland Park, whilst your nearest amenities can be found in Islington.
Travel slightly further into Dartmoor to discover Widecombe-in-the-Moor an historic thatched village with a 14th century church: try the Café on the Green for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea or sample the local ale at the famous Rugglestone Inn.
Perfect for the adults of your group, be sure to visit the Dartmoor Whisky Distillery, where you can sample some local produce and experience a tour, whilst the Stover Country Park is the ideal landscape for a family walk and picnic.
Newton Abbot is within reach by car, where you'll locate further amenities, along with the chance to attend one of the many race days hosted at Newton Abbot Races, before making your way to the coast, with Meadfoot Beach, Paignton Beach, and Torquay Beach as popular choices for their sweeping, family-friendly, landscapes.

We had a wonderful stay at Bagtor Granary.
It was exactly what we needed - quiet, beautifully furnished and relaxing. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly! The fact it was on a working farm didn’t bother us at all, in fact it was wonderful and our two young girls absolutely loved it. They got to see a range of different animals and even fed a baby lamb its bottle! We would definitely recommend and would love to come back again soon!
The house is very good, clean and comfortable and has a most things you will need, a real home away from home, so top marks on that.
However I do no feel able to say the same about the outside area around the hot tube. It looks like the grass has been left to grow too long and it was then cut without a grass box so their was a lot of dried grass on the patio area making it look dirty and untidy. Not what I expected from a "premium" property. We also had an issue with ants in the house, they were all over the work surface and in the cupboards. . I did make the owners aware and a couple of traps were provided. however, this did little to stop the problem, so as a result we could not use the work surfaces for 2 days to prepare food etc. I now this type of thing can happen in the summer, and I'm happy to just get on with things, however no follow up was made by the owners, to see if the traps had resolved the issue, and this was more disappointing than the actual issue for me.. I know we may have just got unlucky with our experiences, but it did take some of the gloss off what is a beautiful place.

Please note: Use of the hot tub is included in the price and from the beginning of April to the end of September it will always be prepared and ready for you, for winter stays between October and the end of March we would ask that you confirm direct to the owner a few days before your stay to advise if you require use of it or not.
