Description

Settled in a fabulous location moments away from the beach in Hele Bay, Devon is Beach Road House.

This idyllic dwelling benefits from an off-road parking space, which is rare in this popular coastal village, three beautifully-appointed bedrooms, a welcoming interior with original features and a fantastic location in Exmoor National Park with easy access to the beauty of both coast and countryside; the perfect setting for families or friends looking to explore all Devon has to offer.

Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and head through the cosy living room into the fully-equipped kitchen/diner where you can rustle up hearty meals for the whole family to be enjoyed upon the dining table or out the front on the patio; an idyllic place to watch the sun set behind the rooftops.

When the sky darkens, snuggle up with your loved ones on the plush sofas in front of the warmth of the electric flame-effect stove before climbing the stairs to wash off the day’s adventure in the family bathroom.

Then be sure to catch up on some well-earned rest in one of three well-appointed bedrooms; choose between a king-size, a double and a custom built bunk with 2 standard single beds.

During the day, pack up your beach essentials and take the short walk down to Hele Beach where you can while away sunny days exploring the rock pools lining the shore or splashing around in the sea.

Follow the South West Coast Path to explore the Hillsborough Nature Reserve before arriving in Ilfracombe, home to hidden coves, Ilfracombe Museum, the stunning harbour, restaurants including Giovanni & Luca and even boat trips out onto the open water to spot local wildlife!

Venture further inland to explore the wonders of Exmoor National Park where keen ramblers can traverse the myriad of walks and trails woven throughout, alternatively, immerse yourself in the past at the impressive Dunster Castle, take in the breath-taking scenery Cow Castle and Webers Post or spend the day admiring wildlife in Exmoor Zoological and Conservation Centre.

All this and more awaits at Beach Road House.

A delightful cottage in a small seaside bay.

Lovely and cool in the heat, warm when needed. Off-street parking (where on-street is very tight) and EV charging are big bonuses. Pub, shop and beach café very close.

We've never had such a generous welcome pack anywhere before!

The house looked clean and tidy so first impressions were excellent. A few little niggles appeared when, after a wet and windy night, the fan in the bathroom let in a bit of rain over the toilet area which we reported. The top rope leading down to the front door broke away from its post which was also reported. The sofas in the lounge were very comfortable. The appliances we used in the kitchen all worked well. We would definitely return to this little gem, so near the beach, the pub, the shop, the cafe and the beautiful coastal path.
