“Beautiful House, beautiful spot.”

Sea views and lovely trees, sound of waves on beach as you drift off. Stunning cliff top walk nearby and a nice cafe over the road. Used but not busy beach, no traffic noise and friendly people. Always a parking spot. Facilities were top notch, clean and comfy. One of the best places I've stayed for the price. Superb value. Only fault I can find is in the description: say's 50 yards from beach, it is much closer! :)

“We we're looking for a short break and were really amazed when this beautiful property came up in the search.”

It is amazing, the care and attention taken to make it a home from home are fantastic. The decor is great. You can tell this is a well maintained property. The location is fantastic, easy access to Ifracombe. If you're prepared for a walk the views from Hillsborough are amazing. I was lucky enough to meet the owner. We had left some toys behind! Luckily for us having breakfast in the Bay Cafe before we left we recovered the toys, Laury was very lovely. This is a fantastic space, I highly recommend.

“We had a wonderful time away.”

This property is by far the best I’ve ever stayed in, so so clean, warm and cosy. Loved all the little touches which set this place apart from the others. Felt so homely straight away. Such a beautiful setting with the beach so nearby and lots of great places to visit. Particularly want to recommend The Williams Arms pub in Braunton. The carvery is better than any I’ve ever seen. Would definitely book this place again. The owner was so kind and helpful which was so appreciated too.

“Home from home!”

Cottage decoration, furnishings and equipment very good. Much thought had been given by the owner into the occupants needs which made it a very comfortable stay. Location 50 yds from the beach was a real bonus whether swimming in the morning or enjoying a cuppa looking out on to the bay. Highly recommend!

“Had a lovely stay in this cosy, welcoming cottage, close to the sea in the Hele Bay.”

Lots of love has gone into kitting out the property and we certainly felt at home. The location is very convenient for visiting the north and mid Devon area and the Bay itself is a lovely place to stay with easy parking and access to eateries and shops within a short distance. We didn’t’ want to leave!

“The house is really lovely and beautifully decorated, loved the rugs and other touches.”

Also spotlessly clean and well maintained, everything felt new and fresh. I don't think the listing does it justice. Certainly not how close it is to the beach! Sitting out on the front patio watching and listening to the sea was just bliss. Plus we saw lots of fantastic birds and a seal in the bay! Fully equipped, the only suggestion would be to have a cafetière (one of the plunger types) as well as the Tassimo machine, as I bought my own just in case! This was a few days of family time following a cancer diagnosis for my dad and the house was just the perfect place to spend a few days, it felt so relaxing and comforting. Thank you. I'll definitely be coming back!

“This is a beautiful house in a wonderful location and very close to the sea.”

The owner left us some chocolates and a bottle of wine which was lovely - we ate and drank them both! The only issue was that we only had a few days off work but we would love to stay here again so we will arrange to stay for a week the next time.

“What. A.”

Find. This is a full terraced house, very spacious, beautifully decorated, and absolutely spotless. The owner (who was prompt and warm in communication) had left scones, clotted cream, and jam for us, we felt right at home! But what really sets this place apart is the location: it doesn’t quite come across on the pictures but it’s right by a lovely little beach, opposite a cute cafe. Sitting on the front terrace sipping coffee in the morning, you can watch the first people arrive and brave the cold Atlantic. We could honestly not have wished for more, and we will be back!

Perched on the scenic North Devon Coast is the small village of Hele Bay, settled just a short distance from the bustling coastal town of Ilfracombe. Offering delightful selection of amenities, including two pubs, the Madrigal Brewery Shop & Tap Room and The Hele Bay Pub, where you can sample the local ales, as well as a charming tearoom and a beautiful cove beach speckled with rock pools, which wouldn’t look out of place abroad.
