Wonderful little cottage with a WOW of a swimming pool.

Just perfect for a restful holiday. We've been before and will go back again.

A lovely little haven.

Very well thought out accommodation with lots of extra touches. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. The pool a real bonus in the heatwave.

Another great week at the Pool House, again we have enjoyed good weather.

Spent our time visiting family and friends in the area, with a couple of days on the coast. Also enjoyed our time in the lovely pool.

The bed was really comfortable we did find the cooking facilities like going back in time!

But was ok when you get used to it. The pool looked lovely but unfortunately we had bad weather so didn’t get chance to use it. The pool surrounding was good either way sun beds and comfortable seating and a table and chairs to eat at. There is a barbecue but because of the rain we didn’t get chance to use that! The shower was great but the sink was a little small and there was no mirror for my husband to shave at. I did find the steps leading up to the pool house, it would have been ok if it did have a handrail, it was mentioned in the discretion, but I didn’t read the details fully. But we did have a nice relaxing week away

Emma was very friendly and helpful in every way. Everything you could possibly want was at hand. Using the pool everyday was an added bonus. Very welcoming after a days outing to various holiday towns etc

We had another lovely stay and Emma and Richard were great hosts if we were being picky the pillows need replacing and it would be lovely to have had a fridge with a freezer section

The Pool House is a very nice accommodation, quiet, secluded and private.

The pool area is an added bonus. The house is nicely appointed with all the facilities for self catering. The bed is very comfortable. However, we were disappointed to find that the fridge had no ice box for frozen food storage, with no facility for making ice. Necessitating asking the owners for ice on several occasions. Also we found the washbasin in the bathroom to be too small to use for a stand up body wash if a shower was not required. The property is well located for exploring Devon and is serviced by good bus routes.

Very relaxing stay And ideal base for touring round Devon All you need provided in the accommodation And very friendly hosts .

We had a very good stay, it was nicely located and was very comfortable,we enjoyed using the pool.

Crediton has some lovely cafes and pubs and we enjoyed meals at the Ship and the Indian restaurant,we had trips out to Exeter and Barnstaple and did some nice walks.

We had a lovely week at the pool house both Ema and Richard were both very friendly and helpful we even had a swim in the lovely pool it is very well placed as a base to explore Devon we will definitely be returning again

A fantastic property for two to get away from it all.

Plus use of the pool make s this not a good place but a great one. Can't recommend this place more highly enough.

Cute and cosy little property with beautiful views and fantastic pool.

The sun terrace is great for al fresco dining and basking in the sun (should there be any). Warm welcome from the owners whose thoughtful touches made the stay very enjoyable. The Pool House has all the amenities required and is well positioned for exploring Devon and Cornwall. Would definitely return.

The hosts were welcoming and friendly, the Pool House was spotlessy clean, well thought out and was situated in a really quiet area. Sole use of the pool for nearly all our time there, lots to do in the area that were only short drives away, short walk to local shops and pubs.

The Pool House has everything you need, including a very comfortable bed! In a great location for visiting most of Devon. The pool looked wonderful but unfortunately the weather was not good for our week! The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Pool House, as after having a fall off a small step at a castle, the wife had to rest her very damaged ankle.

The Pool House is small but comfy, clean and well equipped. Weather was even warm enough for a number of swims in the lovely outdoor pool, even though it was a bit chilly at first, it was quite refreshing. Good location for area interests and shopping. Only thing that would have been nice to have would be a tv that could connect to apps like you tube, Netflix etc. we tried but couldn’t get it to work with any apps, but on a rainy evening we enjoyed a few games of scrabble instead. Lots of fun. We would recommend The Pool House to anyone looking for a nice, small getaway in Crediton.

We had a warm welcome from owners Emma, Richard and Breeze the dog.

Everything you need for a great stay, the pool was a real bonus, despite the weather. Mins walk into the village and easy reach of Exeter and the South Devon coast. We will be back!

The pool house was comfortable clean and very homely, very close to amenities, definitely will be staying again soon, nice private little space quiet and relaxing, pool looked very inviting shame weather was a little overcast, A fantastic stay.

Lovely stay at Pool House.

Comfy bed and sofa. Bit unlucky with windy weather si although warm, the wind meant sitting outside was shortlived. But we did use the bbq once. Would stay again.

A very convenient property for visiting family & friends, however there was a big problem with the electrics, which was obviously historic , the owners did call out an Electrician at our request as we were not happy to keep flipping the trip in the outside housing, if this has been addressed fully would stay again as a nice property but would need proof of works done!

Generally the property was in good decorative order.

However the drains to the shower, wash basin and washing up sink need some attention as they are very slow to drain away. The bathroom itself is very small, and there is no mirror at a reasonable height for make-up etc. It also needs a heated towel rail. A hook to hang dressing gowns etc would be useful. Some sites still refer to the pool as being heated, which it isn't! The welcome pack was the smallest we have received in a holiday cottage, with only a pint of milk. However the 2 bottles of cider were appreciated! The bed was very comfortable and the neighbourhood was very quiet at night.

Everything you need and very suitable for a solo traveller. Comfy bed and kitchen well equipped. Pool was so nice and very clean. Garden space just as it looks in photos. I did struggle to find property at first but maybe just me. Crediton a sweet place.

Had a lovely stay in the pool house, and made good use of the pool given the weather we had last week.

Not a heated pool but Emma and Richard use a pool cover to retain heat by solar transfer, very pleasant warm temperatures recently meant a nice swim could be had without getting cold. Clear instructions for checking in/out, very welcome gesture in the fridge upon arrival of a couple of bottles of cider and a pint of milk… definitely a priority whichever bottle we grabbed first after driving across the country for several hours - thank you

We stayed at the The Pool House from 15-22nd July ‘22 and it was the perfect getaway for us.

Thank you Emma & Richard! The Pool House is extremely well equipped with everything you would need. The bed was amazingly comfortable & the property was spotlessly clean. Thank you for the locally made Cider & Apple juice - welcome refreshments as we had such beautiful hot weather and managed to use the Swimming Pool several times a day, every day of our stay! We had a fantastic time here & would highly recommend it to anyone. Emma & Richard we’re very kind & nothing was too much trouble. Can recommend A lovely Italian on the way to Exeter called Belluno. Our hosts Emma and Richard were very welcoming, the Pool house was very clean.

It was great to use the pool in such a hot week in a lovely location. It wold have been nice to have an ice box and the wifi would only connect near the main house, however neither would put me off wanting to stay at the property again.

We had a lovely few days in this gem of a place on the edge of the town of Crediton.

The owners Emma and Richard were very welcoming, informative of the local area and maintained the Pool House and pool area to a high standard. The local welcome gifts were very much enjoyed and appreciated.

Private and in easy reach places to visit. Well equipped accommodation. Very highly recommended. Would return at any time. Owners are very pleasant and accommodating.
