Sunnymead

We stayed at Sunnymead over Christmas while visiting family.

The cottage was lovely - very cosy, comfortable and extremely well appointed. The big garden was a bonus and much appreciated by our dog. It had everything we needed and more, and we will definitely stay again.

A super base from which to explore Barnstaple and its surrounding areas.

The cottage is cosy, comfortable and well equipped. The owners have put a lot of thought into their lovely little holiday home from home. Our border collie, who is typically always on the go and up for playtime at all times of the day, loved the lush green garden lawn. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day.

The property is lovely and clearly well cared for.

We had a great week as it was ideally located for us to visit family and local attractions. Within walking distance is a farm and a nice walking route. It has a great sized garden which was ideal for serving dinner in the evening. The interior of the cottage is quaint and the lounge/diner is a perfect place for family evenings. The kitchen is well equipped for when we cooked, and plenty of choice for local eateries (Extra shout-out to The Pelican!). As a slight detractor, there was a great deal of activity in the building site, with large lorries passing the property every few minutes from 7AM. This generated a great deal of noise and dirt and dust and it was too noisy to have a lay-in. The listing describes "Off-road parking for 1 car". The parking is on the road and our car was covered in dirt from the passing building lorries. With hind-sight, we should have paid to use the car-park.
