    • “The hosts provided lovely essentials tea, coffee, milk, cake & dishwasher tablets. Building its was great plenty of room for 17 adults & loved that each room had an en-suite.”

    Mr Beecher, February 2019

    • “Stayed here for a 60th birthday celebration with family. There was 18 of us staying in this beautiful barn, it was well equipped with everything you need, the beds were comfortable the underfloor heating warmed the barn lovely even though it was snowing and cold when we arrived, the patio runs the whole length of the barn with steps up to the garden. Brian was very helpful with nothing too much trouble. We would love to come again for the next family celebration!! Thanks Brian and Amanda X”

Mr Thorogood, LLANTWIT MAJOR, January 2019

    • “Great place worked well as not the place we booked originally. There were 13 adults staying and generally worked well. Place is a little tired and could do with some overhauls especially where lights not working and doors not locking well are concerned. Cobwebs were everywhere but up high and being a barn conversion not unexpected. Pool was great for us although the pool door did not lock which could be a concern with people with children. Cooking facilities were good although not lacking in baking trays not many fitted in the oven. House was lovely and warm often too warm but all rooms had thermostats so could be adjusted. The only problems we had was no quiet place to watch tv if everyone was talking in the kitchen/dining area and there are a lot of steps which were not all that easy if some of your party are older. We had a great week though and would recommend.”

    Mrs Hunt, Winchester, November 2018

    • “Had an amazing time at the Roundhouse. Very comfortable for our large family. Children loved the pool and games room. It was fantastic to sit all 15 of us round the huge table in the kitchen for meals. Highly recommend”

Mrs Unwin, Downham Market, November 2018

    • “The pool facility is invaluable, especially when our grandchildren,s ages range from 14 months to nearly 18 years! Brian is very approachable and we enjoyed a very happy time at the Roundhouse. Thankyou.”

Mrs Sutton, Chalfont St. Giles, October 2018

    • “The pictures don’t do this place justice. The Roundhouse is a big yet sociable house perfect for big groups. All bedrooms have en-suites. Plenty of kitchen equipment and crockery too. Great facilities in shared swimming pool and games room. Fabulous location for visiting Dartmouth, Salcombe, Bigbury on Sea, Hope Cove, Totnes and Dartington”

    Mrs Corr, Slough, October 2018

    • “The house and grounds are really special but are spoiled by poor maintenance and hit and miss cleaning. I think the premises should be inspected prior to arrival of new occupants to avoid disappointment, clearly the Roundhouse was not. Some examples - 12 lamps with spent bulbs, TV controls no batteries, no tea towels or dish cloths, no oven glove, no instructions for cooker, washing machine etc., to hand, dirty saucepan, serving dishes had water in them, oven filthy, we purchased new oven tins for our own use. Some windows appear to have not been cleaned for many months, ornamental planters full of dead weeds, small trees and bushes obstructing some paths. In various places we found two pairs of men's under pants, a dummy and child's socks. All this may sound petty to some people I am sure but having spent £3.000.0 for a week I think we deserved better. ***Owner Response*** Thank you very much for taking the time to comment. We’re pleased to hear how much you liked the house and facilities but sorry to learn your stay was spoilt by the issues you highlighted. We’ve spoken with the owners who have agreed to their regret that things weren’t perfect and they had hoped the positive actions they took during your stay had helped to resolve the majority of these for you. The owners have reassured us that following a busy summer season they will be working hard to ensure the property is presented as expected and that future guests won’t experience problems. We do hope that overall you enjoyed your holiday and we hope we’ll get another chance to welcome you back soon.”

    Mr Scarr, BIRMINGHAM, August 2018

    • “We had an amazing week at The Roundhouse - the space is amazing and we particularly loved the ‘den’ space with the hanging chairs - the kids thought this was heaven!”

    Mrs Sinclair, Hook, July 2018

    • “Perfect setting. Loved the pool and the kids play area. Plenty of room for a big family. Cleanliness was excellent. Would definitely visit again.”

Mr Holland, Nr Swindon, June 2018

    • “The house was so spacious allowing people to enjoy time together in the huge lounge and kitchen We celebrated a Diamond Wedding Anniversary, enjoyed the World Cup footie, Royal Ascot, star gazed at midnight and enjoyed beautiful beaches and stunning Dartmouth. The garden was beautifully landscaped and a pleasure to sit in, so many birds. The much bigger than expected pool and children's play area kept the younger of our party busy and amused. 4 generations plus their dogs will be recommending the Round House to friends and family”

    Mrs Dixon, THATCHAM, June 2018

    • “Absolutely fantastic house, easy access to various places.”

    Mr Henderson, Gillingham, June 2018

    • “A fantastic place for family/friends to stay! Bedrooms and ensuites beautifully presented. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots n pans but no provision for storing our food other than the fridges! Annoyingly we had to dismantle the dishwasher to de-clog and rinse out the jets as it was not cleaning properly.”

    Mrs James, Redditch, May 2018
