Fishnets

We enjoyed our short break at Fishnets.

The property was clean and comfortable with fantastic views down to the harbour. There was plenty of options of steps down to reach the high street shops and harbour areas within a few minutes. The road parking situation was impossible so be prepared to park a distance away and walk back to the property each time you go out. We have a couple of suggestions to bring the property up to a higher standard for longer stays. 1. A washer dryer (perhaps in the large bathroom) 2. An iron and ironing board. 3. A more detailed information sheet from the owner. Overall we had a good experience after sorting out how and where to park without the worry of our car being damaged in the very narrow road the property is in.

Gorgeous stay at Fishnets in Brixham.

The location of the cottage is perfect in fact it’s all about the views. Looking directly over Brixham harbour and the bay of Torbay. The cottage is comfy and extremely clean. It has everything you need. The best seat in Fishnets is the window seat with the best view! Fab stay in lovely Brixham. Easy to travel about by car as well. Dartmouth is just a couple of miles away which is really lovely and a costal walk from the cottage to Berry Head is recommended.

Fabulous cottage.

From the moment we walked into Fishnets we were greeted with a very warm and welcoming feel. There was milk in the fridge, biscuits and all the cleaning supplies needed. The cottage in immaculate, beautifully furnished and there were Christmas decorations which added to the cosy atmosphere - another lovely touch. The bed was very comfortable and an amazing shower. The view - WOW, to wake every morning and watch the harbour come to life was incredible, we never tired of looking out. We were lucky to be there for the Christmas lights and lanterns Friday night and fireworks Saturday night, what an amazing weekend. The walk to Berry Head is a must, we walked the SW coast path. The Guardhouse cafe was excellent and well worth the walk. We also walked the other side past Rockfish which was equally beautiful. We recommend trying La Petite Maison, Olive and The New Quay Inn if you want a treat, excellent food. Thank you to the owners for the most amazing holiday. We will definitely be returning.

What a perfect spot - the cottage overlooks the harbour and the view is pretty both day and night.

The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout, with a very warm and sumptuous bathroom. All the carpets felt new and fresh, and the bedlinen was white and crisp like a hotel. It is 5 minutes walk down a couple of flights of steps into the town - very easy to get down to the shops, restaurants and harbour walks. You can also walk from the streets at back of the cottage to the SW coast path, and the fantastic cafe on Berry Head. The cottage is on the hillside and the roads were not originally designed for cars, so are narrow, twisting and sometimes hairpins. We left our car a few streets away which was fine (apart from unpacking/packing). Wouldn't hesitate to come back for the many positives this cottage offers.

The property was exceptional.

It exceeded our expectations if I’m honest. The photos don’t do it justice, the views from the terrace were outstanding and we couldn’t get enough of sitting and watching the boats and Rockfish working day and night. The scenery was always on the move. The proximity to the shops and restaurants is great. The bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely and powerful. On arrival in the kitchen there was biscuits, all the cleaning equipment you could need and a milk in the fridge which was a nice touch. There are clear instructions about the waste and recycling collections but unfortunately the people that stayed the week before us missed the collection so our pigeon bag and recycling box was full for the week of our stay so just be aware that the collection is early Friday morning so waste must be put out on a Thursday at the latest. But I must say I was sad to leave and leave those views behind. A massive thank you goes out to the owners for letting out the property so we can experience what it has to offer. We will be back!

Beautiful in every way.

If you drive it’s really tricky to park, there are very few options. We found a carpark that was very cheap for the week but was a bit of a walk away.

This was our first stay in brixham.

What a fantastic cottage, it was perfect in every way. So clean & comfortable & the view the best you could have. We can’t wait to come back

Amazing views and well maintained. Will be back.

The property isn’t dog friendly as there isn’t a garden and the front wasn’t secure.

The stair rope wasn’t safe as it came out the wall the oven glove hook came out the wall and last weeks rubbish was still there, so we had nowhere to put ours. There is no storage for food in the kitchen so couldn’t do a decent shop.

It was lovely enjoying the harbour view from the house and out side terrace. The house was well equipped and we Very much enjoyed our stay

We had an excellent stay at Fishnets.

Excellent views of the Harbour and the front terrace gets the sun in the evening which is hard to find in the harbour. Easy to get every where if you don't mind steep hills or steps but that's the price you pay for the views. Really lovely cottage, very clean, very nicely finished and well equipped. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Fishnets.

It was our first break away with our Labrador and we all had a great time. It was a lovely, clean and well maintained property. The location was perfect and the outside terrace really makes it stand out from the rest. We will definitely be booking Fishnets again when we return to Brixham in the future. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home. Wilson the Labrador had a wonderful time (especially the sausages at the local fish and chip shop!)
