Quayside Lookout

Back again.

Already booked for October. Home from home really. Lovely flat, lovely location overlooking the harbour. Glad to see the Buller's Arms back open. Glad to see not much has changed, in a good way. Love sitting by the harbour outside one of the bars, chatting with both others on holiday and locals.

Great position, good size flat for the 3 of us.

Good hygiene facilities and a separate utility room was a real bonus. The fixed heater in the main room does not work and one of us found the portable plug in heater was insufficient for them (they are the oldest and thinnest of the 3) but was fine for the other two. I would stay here again.

This was our second time in the property but not the last,very comfortable and right in the centre of everything always makes for a lovely holiday.

We arrived on Saturday and absolutely loved the location of the apartment which was well presented .

Unloading outside wasn't an issue for us. We found sleeping quite difficult due to the 2 air conditioning units directly at the side of the bedroom window which made a constant noise . Also we had to wait till Tuesday evening to be reimbursed for the parking permit which gave us cause for concern ?

Once again we didn't want our holiday to end.

Running out of things to say really. Have been returning for a few years now. Ideally situated right by the harbour. As long as you can manage one flight of stairs, it really is ideally suited for those such as myself who can't walk too far without discomfort. The flat is spacious and facilities are excellent. as is the hospitality from the hosts.

Well appointed and cared for property in an excellent location.

There was a very minor issue which was rectified to my satisfaction by the owner.

The property is in an excellent position, was very comfortable and quiet and good value for money.

We would definitely return. However, Sykes Cottages customer services leaves a lot to be desired. The week before our holiday, I tried contacting them by phone two days running, waiting for 25 minutes before asking for call-back without any success.

A great apartment that is well equipped and comfortable in a superb location.

Lovely apartment within a great location of Brixham harbour, apartment was lovely with lovely views of the harbour from lounge windows.

Apartment was clean and tidy. We had fruit scones, clotted cream, jar of jam and small carton of milk on our arrival. We spoke to the owners prior to our holiday and we was provided with all information we needed, we would definitely recommend this apartment to family and friends and we will be booking to come back here again.

Wonderful location and a beautiful apartment which was well equipped and spacious. Great communication from the owners prior to us arriving. Could not fault this place and we will definitely be back!

Amazing location in a beautiful place

The property is beautifully furnished and is located wonderfully on the Actual Quay.

Thoroughly recommend it. Brixham itself is now very attractive compared to a few years ago. Well done. Advice, I would add that both the shower tray and bath need grab handles as they are like standing on ice. Otherwise 10/10. Great holiday thank you.

Wonderful apartment with great views across the harbour.

4th visit here,will be back for more Facilities in apartment first class. Plenty of room and comfy beds. Lovely friendly owners . We have friends booked for next year on our recommendation .

I felt that it should be mentioned that the stairs to the apartment are very steep !

A very comfortable flat in a lovely setting.

The flat has everything you need for your stay. Nothing was too much for the hosts who kept in contact during our stay

Everything was spotlessly clean and same as the photo's.

I will certainly book this apartment again. We had the best views of the harbour and even had a brass band playing on the Thursday night. Fab choice of restaurants which all served lovely tasty food.

Second visit to Quayside ,just as good as last time,lovely apartment ,great location couldn't be better.

Running out of things to say really.

This is our annual pilgrimage destination. Much as I like the view of my garden at home,it is trumped by waking up at Quayside to the harbour view. Shame we've lost a pub. (The Bullers). The others more than made up for it though. Already booked in for September.

Fantastic location, couldn't ask for a better spot.

Kitchen/lounge/diner was a really nice set up. Really comfy sofa. Plenty of pots and pans, crocks, glasses. Only 1tea towel though. WiFi very hit and miss. Beds comfy and plenty of storage space. Bathrooms are lovely but again very short on towels, 1 hand towel per bathroom and 1 bath towel for each guests (these don't even go round you if you are a bit chubby). There is soap, hand cream and air fresheners which is a nice touch. Loud and intrusive music from the bar nextbdoor on Friday and Saturday nights. The whole flat had a funky smell, maybe old, deep seated tobacco smoke and we noticed it on every entry. When opening the bedroom windows it leads to a flat roof which is in desperate need of attention. Bird droppings, mess, really unpleasant to look out on. Storage rooms were really junky, as were some kitchen cupboards and drawers, this detracts from the loveliness of the rest. As does the falling apart drawer unit in lounge. Plastic plants, would look better with nothing. No folder of information such as WiFi, appliance use, GP, restaurants etc. First holiday home I have stayed in without this. Overall a lovely holiday, but far from cheap even in March, and I think with a little attention it could be fantastic. . I think there areblors of

However there was no heating in the lounge as the storage radiator was simply not working. Also the stated wifi was not working and the router actually belongs to the coffee shop below. Both problems were corrected promptly after reporting them to the owner. There was some cleanliness issues ie biscuit crumbs on the carpet and a dirty kitchen pedal bin. Very pleasant and helpful owners so the week was very enjoyable.

Everything was spotlessly clean.Will certainly be going again.Best views of the harbour,spoilt for choice with restaurants even at Xmas time of year.

The flat is immaculate. Right on the harbour, beautiful to wake up to. We park the car up in the car park and make the most of Brixham's hospitality all week. (Easy to buy a weekly car park ticket online before you travel). This will be refunded by your excellent hosts, Sian & Dean. Favourite pub - The Blue Anchor, good food menu with local fish included of course. Favourite pub with outside seating - The Old Market House. Pizzas seemed to be the only menu option. Two excellent Chinese takeaways and no shortage of fish and chips outlets. We will be back I am sure.

Well sited, very comfortable home from home, has what you need to eat in or if eating out a vast array of choices, local shops a few minutes walk away can supply everything you need, great views from apartment and plenty to do.

We park up at start of holiday and rarely if ever use it again until time to go home. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous apartment in a wonderful setting.

It’s rare we return to the same holiday let but we wouldn’t hesitate to do just that in this instance.

Brilliant location right in the harbour views are ever changing.

really comfortable accommodation caters for four adults. Kept to a very high standard .we keep returning and we have friends who booked it straight away when we came home..

Fantastic location. Really friendly and helpful owners. We had a lovely holiday and absolutely couldn’t fault it at all. Brilliant.

This was a fabulous apartment in a fabulous location.

Our only issue was with the parking arrangements. We expected to be given a parking permit but it transpired we had to arrange our own parking and then claim a refund from the owner. This was not a huge problem but it did mean a stressful start to our holiday.

Fantastic apartment, looked after with love by Sian and Dean, who are on hand for any questions you may have.

The apartment is perfectly situated and Views are amazing. This has been a fabulous holiday at an Offordable price, for my family and I would highly recommend to anyone.

Fabulous location, very helpful owners (helped me out big time when I lost the keys), spotlessly clean and everything you would require to make it a home from home.

We had a lovely time in Brixham did lots of walking really enjoyed it.

The property was very nice in a lovely spot, the only thing that spoilt it was noisy neighbours above us and the cafe downstairs early in the morning.

That says it all really. Ideal location right by the harbour. Excellent facilities in the first floor property. Food and drink on your doorstep. We like the ambience in Brixham. Picturesque and a thriving fishing port. Torquay is a short hop away by bus, road or ferry. We will be back

Lovely spacious and clean apartment.

Great location,right in the heart of everything. Had some wonderful boat trips,used local buses and went on the steam train. Lovely fresh seafood everywhere ,spoilt for choice,hence no cooking for me all week.Hoping to return next year.

Loved the bathrooms.

Very clean and tidy. Disappointing outlook though the bedroom windows. Fabulous lookout through the lounge windows view of the harbour.

Well situated apartment, very well furnished with outstanding views of Harbour, if an issue arose then Sian & Dean were just a call away to deal with it.

Not that we had any issues anyway. Would definitely recommend this for a chill out, laid back holiday.

Great location, lovely apartment.

Great location with plenty of space inside this lovely apartment with everything you need for a self catering holiday apart from a hair dryer.

Despite overlooking the street, the bedrooms are at the back of the property and very quiet apart from the background noise of some kind of motor running constantly outside. Not sure whether this was an air conditioning unit or maybe generator. Within a minutes walk there are pubs, restaurants, cafes & takeaways alongside grocery stores, gift shops etc. Definitely recommend this accommodation and would stay here again for sure.

The location is the best.

Beautiful view over the harbour and everything within walking distance. The flat has been revamped to an even higher standard with both bathrooms absolutely superb. Second bedroom now has two single beds, not bunk beds, and is larger. A lovely place to stay. Brixham was very busy, but we had no trouble eating and drinking out! The Chinese takeaway opposite the Co-op in the High Street is to be recommended. Booked already for later in the year.

Brixham is a wonderful place to while away a holiday.

Our car is not used at all. The flat is in an ideal location. Spacious accommodation of a good standard. Flat is above a lovely cafe. Two lounge windows look out over the harbour. Restaurants, bars and shops are within walking distance even for arthritic old me. Nice walks within reach which my partner does each morning. Third year visiting. I strongly suspect we may be back next year.

Flat was well situated overlooking the harbour, a short walk to arrival/departure point for ferry/boat trips, 5 minute walk from main car park to flat via harbour walk, apart from using the car to visit local National Trust properties we used the boat or walked.

Local shops have everything you needed and if you like fish then you cannot go wrong. Would definitely recommend the Flat and Brixham.

Had a wonderful week in Brixham, the apparent was surprisingly big and very nicely done out!

Could benefit from a dishwasher but that’s not a big deal. The owners were lovely and very helpful and the Devon cream tea welcome was a nice surprise. The apartment is in a great Central location For the beach and dining etc. If you enjoy going to the beach of an evening a good tip would be to leave your car parked in the breakwater car park with your beach chairs in the boot.

Fantastic apartment.

Photos don’t really do it justice. Amazing view over the harbour; could while away hours just sitting there. Brixham is lovely and loads to do in the area. Owners were lovely; be sure to visit their shop up the road.

This was the second time we used this holiday home.

It's well appointed and I would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely flat with beautiful view over the harbour, Dean very friendly and took the time to call us and let us know we could access the flat before the appointed time.

cream scone and milk in fridge a very welcome extra. Booked for 3 adults but found single beds bit small but overall a great place to stay. Plenty of street entertainment including The Brixham Brass Band, lots of places to eat Quay 57 & Long boat Chinese take away if you get fed up with Fish & Chips.

The long stay car park is being refurbished so not as many spaces for parking.

Great place great views over the harbour and very nice people that own it.

Quay and people watching was better than any TV. Will be booking again. Loved it!!!

Apartment was as described and info prior to the holiday was good, giving us the opportunity to confirm key collection and parking information.

Beautiful location, right by the harbour.

Recommend the Blue Anchor pub, and Nicks for fish & chips. Trip to Torquay on the ferry was a lovely day out. Museum is worth a visit.

We love this apartment and Sian and Dean are amazing we have booked again for next Easter and summer.

It will be our 4th and 5th time. We could not recommend this apartment enough. But don’t want everyone to know about our little gem.

A great apartment, when you look out of the window you feel part of everything that is going on.

Lovely to wake up to in the morning. Sian (owner) is very helpful in anything you need to know. Brixham is a fantastic place to stay & enjoy all that is happening.

Spacious upstairs flat with great views over the harbour.

Coastal path in both directions for fabulous walks. Ferry to Torquay and Dartmouth very close by.

Great central location with excellent views of the harbour with easy access to other tourist locations via the Ferries.

Tastefully decorated and well equipped apartment. Helpful Landlord , nothing too much trouble. Very enjoyable holiday! Would book this property again.

The property was great and the location superb.

Fabulous location right in the middle of everything with gorgeous views over the harbour.

Only concern when booking was the stairs up to the apartment. They are a bit steep but my husband who celebrated his 70th this year managed fine. Hoping to return.
