    “Long story - arrived to find dust, cobwebs, and even tablets (medication) under seats and in between tongue and groove floorboards.”

    I didn't have to look for cobwebs, they were everywhere, which showed how much cleaning had taken place, they were big and plentiful, the spiders were having a whale of a time. I don't expect 5* accommodation, but i do expect cleanliness and this place hadn't been hoovered in months. My daughters room had a toughened double glazed window which the "outer pane" was broken but it had no impact on us as it was the outer pane, inside pane was good. The owner blamed me, i don't know why but it ruined ...

But the owner spoke to Sykes and wanted them to throw us out?? We are all very very disappointed, at 68 i don't need stress, i need a calm holiday which i thought we were going to experience, Never again

Burlodge is set within private grounds and immaculately furnished with carefully curated furniture sourced from the owners travels, and provides a tranquil retreat for those looking for a peaceful holiday.

The tall glazed windows create a sense of connection between the interior living space and the outdoor dining area and kitchen, and the private hot tub is situated in a secluded area of the garden next to lounging furniture, ideal for sunny days.

The living space flows around a central pillar, providing areas to relax, dine and cook, or recline to watch a movie or read a book.

The kitchen has a sociable island ideal for spending time together when preparing a meal.

When night falls choose between two well appointed bedrooms, a king-size room next to a stylish shower room with exotic plants and exposed brickwork, or the second king-size bedroom with it's own en-suite shower room accessed via a sliding barn style door.
