The property

The beautiful No 1 Caddaford Barns is a two-bedroom barn conversion located in a rural hamlet just outside Buckfastleigh in Devon.

No 1 Caddaford Barns is an excellent option for couples or a family of four.

It is located next to the owner's home, close to an organic working farm, and within sight of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park.

There are two off-road parking spaces and a communal courtyard at the front of the house, perfect for an evening drink on the patio.

Step into the bright open-concept living area, where a well-equipped kitchen awaits your culinary creations, to be enjoyed with a glass of wine at the locally crafted ash dining table.

After supper, unwind on the sumptuous sofa while watching a show on the Smart TV next to the warm glow of the woodburning stove.

Continue through to the two tastefully decorated bedrooms, a king-size and a 5 ft double (which can be 2ft 6 twin beds on request), both of which have their own en-suites.

Visit the South Devon Railway and its Museum, the Buckfast Butterfly Farm and Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary, the Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool, Buckfast Abbey and its gorgeous lavender gardens.

Ben's Farm Shop, where fresh fruit and veg can be purchased is within a few minutes drive, as is the Live and Let Live in Landscove, a well-known pub where local ales can be sampled.

Hill House Nursery, where a delicious cream tea can be had is also nearby.

The well regarded Riverford Field Kitchen is within a 20 minute walk or short drive for those who enjoy local organic, seasonal produce prepared by excellent local chefs.

Located just a few miles from the property, the stunning 1,200 acre Dartington Trust estate offers beautiful grade II listed gardens, with walks and trails through the deer park, an on-site pub, café and cinema along with a varied program of informative talks, exhibitions and events.

Totnes is where you'll find the Totnes Rare Breeds Farm, Totnes Castle, as well as the Bull Inn, Rumours wine bar, and the Steam Packet Inn for food.

In the other direction you’ll find Ashburton, home to the Ashburton History Museum, a quaint town square, the Ashburn Gallery, several antique shops, Creamo's Ice Cream and Emilia's Italian Restaurant.
