    “Enclosed garden is fine but as we had dogs would have expected a lot more grass for them than a postage stamp.”

    Worst thing was the electric coffee maker which had not been cleaned out, had old pods still in it, smelt terrible and water in the system was a greeny brown colour. Would have been fine as there was a cafetiere but this had an unwashed filter and full of coffee granules. Cottages are no smoking which is fine as we don't however cottage gets very warm with the temperatures we had during our stay opened windows and got all the smoke blown in from cottage next door all evening. Was a real downside ...

Was a real downside and made the place stink and also meant sitting outside was off the agenda when they were out. Lovely site with lots of facilities just let down by some poor choices, lay out and attention to detail in the cleanliness of some kitchen appliances.

We were particularly surprised by your comments regarding the cleanliness of the coffee maker and cafetiere. Cleanliness is something we take very seriously, and previous reviews have consistently reflected high standards in this area. Had we been contacted during your stay, we would have welcomed the opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue immediately. As no communication was made at the time and no evidence has been provided, we’re unable to verify these concerns in retrospect. Regarding the enclosed garden, it is accurately described in our listing and has generally met the needs of guests travelling with pets. That said, we understand that expectations can vary, and we’ll take your feedback into account. We also appreciate your comments about smoke from the neighbouring cottage. While all our cottages are strictly non-smoking indoors, outdoor smoking is permitted, and unfortunately we cannot control wind direction. We’re exploring ways to better manage this to ensure all guests can enjoy their surroundings comfortably.
