“A beautifully renovated, clean and comfortable barn conversion with everything needed for a relaxing weekend away.”

We also visited Topsham with the lovely Goats Walk along the River Exe and a pit stop at Bicycle Route 2 Takeaway Hatch. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay, thank you!

Fieldstone Barn is a delightful barn conversion resting in North Tawton, Devon, enjoying countryside views, off-road parking, and a garden designed for an easy time outdoors.

Ideal for families or groups of friends, it brings together flexible accommodation, thoughtful features, and a setting that makes every return from a day out feel like part of the holiday itself.

Step through the door and into a home that balances practical spaces with a warm sense of character.

The sitting room offers an easy place to come together as evening settles, whether you are catching up over a drink, planning tomorrow’s route, or winding down in front of the television.

Beyond, the kitchen/diner has a welcoming heart in the form of the AGA and double electric oven, creating a room that naturally draws people in to cook, chat, and linger over meals.

The sleeping arrangements work especially well for mixed groups, with a mezzanine king-size bedroom tucked above and served by an en-suite walk-in shower, alongside a ground-floor king-size and a twin room that can become a super-king-size on request.

The freestanding bath in the bathroom brings an added sense of occasion to slow starts and post-walk evenings, while outside, the lawn and patio open up space for coffee in the fresh air, late lunches under open skies, and a relaxed end to the day with the Devon landscape all around.

When it is time to explore, Exeter offers the grandeur of Exeter Cathedral, exhibitions at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, and waterside wandering along the Quayside.

Okehampton is a strong choice for castle views at Okehampton Castle, local heritage at the Museum of Dartmoor Life, and adventures near Dartmoor National Park.

For a different pace, Tiverton combines the elegance of Knightshayes Court, the history of Tiverton Castle, and gentle scenery beside the Grand Western Canal.

For coastal days, the North Devon coastline offers sandy beaches and dramatic views, perfect for a change of pace.
