“Excellent modern lodge and we enjoyed our stay.”

However, the reception is permanently closed and so is the pub. We were lucky on check in that the helpful gardner saw us and gave us the keys to the lodge. We like walking and found a pleasant walk into the town. Combe Martin beach is approximately 1.5 miles away and is walkable, and comes out near the pretty church, (the footpath starts on site as it’s longer on the road). Comes out near the pretty church. Parking charges otherwise. Plenty of fantastic coastal walks in the vicinity along the SWCP. A few good tea/coffee/pubs and a small shop for basics and lottery. There is a Lidl in Ilfracombe. The lodge is close to the Exmoor National Park and everywhere you look the scenery is superb. The lodge has plenty of storage and the two bathrooms are excellent, plus there is a washing machine. A car is a must. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
