  • Alan

“Comfortable accommodation everything we needed for our break.”

Really quiet and peaceful there were numerous birds feeding on the feeders we had spotted woodpeckers every day. The staff was friendly and the site in general was very tidy. Thanks Alan.

The village itself is just a pleasant walk away, where a sandy beach and rock pools can be found, making it well suited to families and guests travelling with dogs.

Positioned on the edge of Exmoor National Park, this setting offers an opportunity to slow the pace and enjoy both North Devon’s coastline and countryside.

Inside, the single‑storey lodge provides a practical base for a family of four.

The open‑plan living space is arranged for relaxed evenings, whether preparing meals in the well‑equipped kitchen, gathering around the dining table, or settling into the seating area after a day outdoors.

Step outside to take in the surroundings with a morning coffee or enjoy an evening meal in the fresh air.

On site, guests can make use of a children’s play area, a launderette and a welcoming bar serving drinks and simple favourites, with opening times varying seasonally.

Selected properties welcome dogs, with additional features including an exercise field and dog towels.

A short walk leads to local pubs such as The Dolphin, Pack O’Cards and The Castle, while village cafés and a fish and chip shop provide easy dining options.

From the lodge, walkers can join the South West Coast Path or head towards the dramatic Hangman Cliffs, the highest sea cliffs in England.
