Enjoying a superb location within the Exmoor National Park and just moment’s away from the beach, Hillsview is a wonderful choice for a group or family of eight.
The property benefits from off-road parking for up to three cars, a lovely front garden with furniture and stunning views, and a rear garden with sun trap seating area, BBQ and a lawn ideal for the little ones to play!
On the ground floor, you will find a light and airy kitchen/diner, where you can whip up family favourites and enjoy them at the dining table for eight, at the breakfast bar for two, out on the front balcony, or on the large dining table in the back garden, the perfect spot for al fresco dining.
A new addition to Hillsview is the beautiful log‑burning sauna, designed to offer a calm, restorative experience.
Its panoramic window looks directly across the Exmoor hills, with an uninterrupted view of the spectacular local landmark Little Hangman.
The snug sitting room provides a cosy retreat for relaxing evenings, and the log burner brings warmth and character to the house during the winter months.After dinner, make your way through to the inviting sitting room where you can relax on the generous corner sofa with your favourite tipple as you select a film on the TV.
Completing the ground floor is a handy boot room with tumble dryer and a sleek shower room for freshening up.
Head up to the first floor, where a beautiful bathroom awaits, complete with bath and overhead shower, along with four well-appointed bedrooms, a king-size, two doubles, and a lovely twin, ideal for the children to snuggle up in.
Explore the village, where you can dine at the welcoming eateries of The Castle Inn, The Pack O’Cards, and The Bakers Bistro; stock up on essentials at the local Co-Op supermarket; tour the Combe Martin Museum, embark on the West Country Walks route, visit Watermouth Castle and Theme Park, or spend a day on the golden sands of one of three gorgeous beaches, Combe Martin, Broad Sands, and Wild Pear.
Walk or hike up Great Hangman, the highest sea cliff in England and the highest point on the South West Coast Path in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Continue onto Ilfracombe, where you’ll find further attractions including The Ilfracombe Aquarium, Chambercombe Manor, Ilfracombe Museum, Capstone Hill, Bluefin Charter Fishing, Tunnels Beaches, and Ilfracombe Beach.
Further afield, you’ll find Woolacombe, home to The Beachcomber Café, Funder Island, the stunning Woolacombe Beach, The Tides Inn, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Wow what can we say this is one of the most beautiful holiday homes we have ever stayed in, every comfort was taken care of, every conceivable kitchen appliances were there, the beds were super comfy and the view from the front terrace was magical.
We would recommend this house in a heartbeat. Just perfect. Only one tiny thing to note though, the decking outside the rear door just needs a good blast as it was slippy, but that did not in anyway detract from what was a 5 star holiday home.
We had a wonderful stay, even though the weather was not on our side - the wettest week of summer!
Fortunately there were enough toys, games and activities within the property to keep the boys (12, 8, 7) entertained when required. The house is set in a beautiful location, the BBQ was left dirty from previous guests but the weather wasn’t good enough for us to take advantage of this addition so did not affect us. We would recommend a gate on the balcony area as dogs/small children could escape from the balcony and down the steps of the property if not supervised at all times - our dog managed to escape out of the back garden and appear at the balcony doors so I think she would find her way out of anywhere! We had a small issue regarding no hot water, but after contacting the owner, this was sorted very quickly by sending a maintenance to repressurise the boiler. Overall was such a good week. House was a little far from the main centre, a 25 minute walk, to just be able to pop out on foot but the views were stunning from the hilltop. I would definitely return to Combe Martin and potentially also back to Hillsview!
The property was perfect for our needs.
