    “We had a wonderful time.”

The cottage is lovely and there is a sea view upstairs. The kitchen is very well equipped and there was a nice welcome hamper. The location is quite central for visiting beaches and towns nearby and there is a beautiful walk to the local pub. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, they showed my daughter their horses and chickens which she thought was fantastic! We would definitely recommend this holiday and hope to be back in the future.

The property

Kingsbridge 4 miles.

Little Piccadilly can be found nestling in the peaceful little hamlet of Coles Cross, surrounded by glorious countryside, with the Devon coast a short 10 minute drive away.

A delightful stone cottage attached to the owner’s main residence, this makes a wonderful, contemporary base for coastal and country walks, or lazy days on the beach.

The open-plan interior is bright and airy with timber beams and offers an inviting and comfortable space for relaxation in the evenings.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need, whilst the dining area provides space for enjoying a hearty breakfast whilst planning the day's events.

A double bedroom and a single bedroom, equipped with a truckle bed that pulls out to a full size single bed, are both well furnished with plenty of storage.

There is a well fitted shower room.

Outside there is a pleasant garden with garden furniture to sit and enjoy.

Please note there is a pond in the grounds.

This South Devon AONB has so much to offer.

Explore the coast, the magnificent crescent of Slapton Sands and the nature reserve of Slapton Ley a short drive.

The beautiful sheltered beach of Blackpool Sands provides plenty of water sports opportunities with a great café overlooking the beach.

The maritime town of Dartmouth and soft sandy beaches of Salcombe are both within easy reach and the interesting river town of Totnes and the market town of Kingsbridge offer supermarkets, cafes and award winning restaurants.

About the location

KINGSBRIDGE

Salcombe 5 miles; Bantham 5 miles; Dartmouth 12 miles; Totnes 13 miles; Plymouth 20 miles.

The busy little town of Kingsbridge lies at the head of a marine estuary in the attractive South Hams area of South Devon. Kingsbridge is home to a range of lovely independent shops and coffee shops, as well as a local cinema and an award-winning pub. During the summer season there are river excursions to Salcombe to see the abundant wildlife in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which also forms part of the South Devon Heritage Coast. Visitors can take a walk along the Kingsbridge Quay, wander through the narrow alleys off Fore Street or visit the Shambles in Totnes, an Elizabethan market arcade. Around the South Hams area there are picturesque ports, such as Dartmouth and Salcombe, together with sandy beaches at Blackpool Sands near Stoke Fleming and the two sandy beaches at Thurlestone. There are a host of small attractive villages in South Hams offering interesting pubs, local farm produce shops and pretty rows of cottages, plus further afield the waterfront city of Plymouth is a vibrant centre housing the National Marine Aquarium, historic Barbican Quay and plenty of night life, including theatres, restaurants and bars. Kingsbridge can be easily reached by train to Totnes and then a local bus service which will take you to Kingsbridge town centre.
