Ferryside

The property was great, ideal for the ferry to Dartmouth also to watch the boats and steam trains.

One thing it would be good to mention that there is 24 hour parking across the road we found this car park very useful. Really enjoyed our time there.

This was our second stay and hopefully not our last.

The weather was appalling which made the apartment even nicer to come home to. The tiny cafe nextdoor was very cute and handy for a quick breakfast. There was only one tiny downside, the tumble dryer wasn’t working. All our wet weather gear needed washing and to rewaterproof it in needs a tumble dryer. Small tip, get a lower ferry foot passenger top up card, only £1 each way on foot with that, and it leaves only 10 metres from your door. Beds are very comfortable, house was cosy and warm, everything you could possibly need for cooking. No downside, book it, you’ll love it.

Great location for Christmas.

Very comfortable. Bottle of Champagne on arrival - nice touch. Christmas decorations provided - thank you! Warm. Ideal for exploring Dartmouth and surrounding area. Perfect for ferries.

Ferry side is perfectly placed for Kingswear and Dartmouth.

With the lower ferry just on the doorstep it was great to park the car up and just walk and ferry everywhere. The apartment is modern and well maintained with everything you need. Great spot, will be back.

Superb apartment, finished to a high standard.

Comfortable and situated in a lovely position by the waters edge. Our second time her, no doubt we will be back again, if you're looking for accommodation in Kingswear you've found it.

Ferryside is a lovely apartment realy close to the ferry's to Dartmouth and local pubs in Kingswear.

Lovely place to stay recommend you pay for a weeks parking near to property as it works out cheaper.

Clean and homely, lots of places to visit nearby. Host helpful and friendly. Would stay again .

We had a really good week in the apartment, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen is really well equipped and the showers is just right.

We also enjoyed the comings and goings in the little square outside, the apartment is also very handy for visiting lots of places of interest not too far away.

Thanks for a wonderful stay in a fantastic apartment. A real home from home! This place is genuinely just a few paces away from both the ferry link to Dartmouth and the steam railway, and the walk along the railway track and through the Dart Valley trail to Greenway was something else. It was a real wrench to leave, which is always the sign of a great holiday.

Lovely accommodation, everything you need on hand.

The property is light, spacious and comfortable. This is a very convenient position to explore the area. We parked the car for the majority of our stay and used the steam train and ferries to get around. A very relaxing week away in this beautiful part of the country.

Ferryside is very well appointed, clean, nicely laid over the two floors and a brilliant location right next to the ferry.

Had a lovely few days at Ferryside, the apartment was very clean and modern with everything you needed and more.

Very comfortable beds, the best shower i have had in ages, kitchen very well equipped, lounge area very comfortable. The apartment is in a prime location for the ferry to Dartmouth, stream train to Paignton and a couple of great pubs near by. With parking right opposite 4 day's for £32.

A really lovely stay at Ferryside.

Immaculately clean throughout and every kitchen utensil provided you could think of. Perfectly positioned and although no parking this wasn’t an issue with the reasonably price car park opposite. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

A splendid property in a terrific location.

Recently (2022) converted to a very high quality, the owners have supplied everything that one could possibly need. More kitchen utensils than we have at home and sometimes better quality!

Brilliant apartment loved every minute, owners were very hands on great.

This was the first time we’ve used Sykes and I fear we may have peaked too early, Ferryside was outstanding in every aspect.

Convenient location, well appointed, all the mod cons and a great base to tour South Devon from. Before booking we were slightly concerned about parking but need not have been, a pay & display is directly opposite and reasonably priced. Will definitely stay here again.

Stunning apartment with quality furnishings in a fantastic location.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable especially the beds. I booked the property for family from Denmark and they loved every minute of their stay in Ferryside.

We had a really nice stay at Ferryside.

The position of the property is perfect for the steam railway and river dart / sea cruises. Ferryside is well equipped and extremely comfortable. There is lots of lovely walks in the area some along the edge of the river so flat. If you prefer there are walks up hills with breath-taking views of the river dart / harbour / sea and coast line. Dartmouth is a quick ferry ride across the river and Brixham a short drive.

Lovely property with and excellent standard in comfort and cleanliness.

Good facilities, like TV in each room, plenty of power sockets, and a reasonably reliable WiFi. The only downsides are managing heat levels in the rooms, and the need for secure ventilation in the downstairs bedroom. We did note that drivers ignored the single sign requesting them to switch their engines off while waiting for the ferry - the fumes and noise were annoying. In case anyone is concerned, the ferry is not an issue.

Beautiful apartment in a lovely location.

The apartment was very modern, with more than enough space for 4 adults to enjoy a relaxing week. The apartment was clean, bright and well equipped with everything we needed for our week's holiday. The only issue was parking, having no dedicated parking space. Parking was either in a public car park opposite at £8 for overnight parking or on side streets, up some very steep hills, which could create a problem if you had mobility issues.

This is a lovely property in a prime position.

We thought it was exceptionally well equipped & a well thought out layout. We loved the artwork on the walls throughout. We were a little concerned at the way the shower screen leaks in the bathroom. It wasn’t an inconvenience, but the place is so beautifully decorated it seemed a shame to see the water stains. I would love to return to Ferryside for a longer stay

Excellent property, well thought out.

Great location. Pictures don't do it justice somehow. The balcony was just right for alfresco breakfasts in the morning sun. Also got the evening sun too. Loads to do in the area.

Ferryside is a beautiful property right in the heart of Kingswear.

The property is lovely, with the owners obviously having considered everything. The open area with the kitchen, table and sofas is a relaxing place to unwind after visiting the many local attractions. The nod to these local attractions in the form of various photographic wall art is a nice touch. We loved our time away at Ferryside and would love to return. If you're considering renting this property for your holiday, do not hesitate. We will miss grabbing a coffee from the coffee shop a couple of doors down, hopping on the ferry to Dartmouth, and watching the historic trains arrive and depart from the station opposite (as well as many other things).

We were really impressed by the prime location of this property.

It really does provide a great base from which to explore. We only needed to use the car once in a week! The apartment itself is very well appointed. It is comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The 3 of us slept very well every night and the property had everything that we needed. We very highly recommend this property!

Ferryside is a luxurious and chic property with super comfy mattresses and bedding.

Everything feels sturdy high end and easy to use. Sitting in the lounge area watching the ferry come in and the occasional gentle whistle of the steam train opposite was pure seaside pleasure. So much to see and do right on your doorstep yet peaceful and relaxing. An absolute gem - will definitely return.

We had a lovely week in Dartmouth - enjoyed our accommodations which are a little quirky due to the layout.

The steam train is a great adventure as are the variety of boat trips to Greenwat etc. etc. Lots to do and see - the best part is the lower ferry fascinating to cross the river in this unique way!

What a delightful property!

Beautifully decorated and so incredibly clean. The house is in such a handy location; the steam train, ferries and buses are a stones throw away. Would highly recommend Ferryside, and would definitely stay there again.
