Turtle Chalet

We have been here before and just love it

Turtle chalet was brilliant very clean and had everything we needed, it made our holiday and when our 5 year old Grandson walked in he went wow its amazing 10 out of 10 for that, thank you all very much.

A lovely place to stay, very well presented.

The fans in both of the bedrooms, one of which is free standing, were a godsend in the heatwave. The only negative that we found was that there was no iron. We looked in, around and outside of ever conceivable storage space but to no avail! We were only staying for 3 nights so this was not too much of a problem for us, however if we had of been staying longer we would have rang the phone number provided and I am sure this oversight would have been rectified promptly. You do have to pay to use the onsite pool and for entrance to the clubhouse but as both the beach and a great pub called the Boathouse are only a 10 minute walk away, this was absolutely no issue at all. We will most definitely be back!

Hi, we had a wonderful stay, we have stayed in the chalet next door just as lovely.

I would just like to say I would have liked a slip mat in the shower and perhaps a handle in the shower to hold on to. But other than that it was perfect. Angela and Mike.

We were extremely impressed with this chalet, as soon as you walk through the door you can tell that it is well maintained and very clean throughout.

Nice gestures of biscuits, coffee, tea and sugar on the table and a pint of milk in the fridge. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the shower very nice with towels supplied. Deceptive from the outside but a very spacious chalet and plenty of room for 2 to 6 people, 1 room with a king size bed and bunk beds, the other with a double bed. Enjoyed the stay, would definitely like to book again and would recommend it.

We had no complaints about the facilities with the exception of the heating.

We had no heating during our stay. I tried adjusting the thermostat made no difference. The sign stating it was on a timer was of no help. We used our outside clothing downstairs in the evening.

Excellent time at turtle chalet accommodation very good , comfortable beds ,plenty of space , no complaints would book again no problem .

Was apprehensive and didnt have much expectation to start with but when we got there it was fantastic. I have never seen such a clean holiday place Didnt really want to go home its like a home inside with everything. Usually theres next to nothing in these places but this one had board games and dvds cutlery cups glasses biscuits towels washing up liquid milk in the fridge and coffee stuff u name it. Undoubtedly the owner has gone to this level of effort to provide an experience not just a stay. It may all be a cunning plan to encourage you to book again and i think it may actually work as we are planning to visit again if possible. The town area is a super place and handy for the train. The thai food place is great on the high street. Mind the seaguls tho

We had a lovely week at the chalet.

It was very clean and tidy and there is everything you need and even more. The owner was very friendly, giving us the chance to arrive earlier as the chalet was cleaned faster than he thought. Great location, but the complete holiday park was still closed, so there was no swimming pool, no entertainment, no chance to do your laundry or to use the playground. Also there was a lot of working noise from the staff that got the park ready for the season. This only was mentioned a few hours before, when we were on our way already, so that was a bit unlucky. But no worries, it was a brilliant week at a beautiful place and we would definitely book it again. Thank you for a great stay at your chalet.

Turtle chalet was such a lovely place to stay, on arrival Giles allowed us to enter early which at this time of year is a massive bonus.

The chalet was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm just what you need for a week away, the bed was so comfy as was all the furniture. Thanks again for the compliments tray. We hope to stay again.

Turtle Chalet is a two storey, purpose built holiday home on a large, mixed accommodation type holiday park.

The park is the best we have ever stayed on, well managed, very clean with a good range of facilities (some of which do cost extra to use), plenty of adjacent parking and within a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. The chalet itself has recently been completely refurbished with new kitchen and shower room with good sized shower and new floor covering throughout. There is a modern overhead electric heating system which is very effective as long as previous guests have not tried to impose their own settings! With comfortable furniture and all the equipment you are likely to need (except a teapot, but that has probably been sorted by now), and a nice welcome pack. Comes highly recommended for anyone looking for a self catering south Devon resort holiday, especially if you like trains.

Lovely property enjoyable stay

Great holiday let - we had absolutely everything we needed provided for us.

The property was well cleaned, comfortable and cosy. Great attention to detail - with tea, biscuits and milk waiting for us upon arrival. We would book this property again without hesitation!

This was our second holiday at turtle chalet, we went same time last year.

It was very clean and tidy the owner was very friendly and helpfull by letting us settle in early. There was a welcome milk coffee tea and biscuits. The chalet is well situated walking distance from the beach and attractions. The grand kids loved the bunk beds. Close to train station we were able to leave cars and use train to visit different places. Will be going back in the future,we enjoyed our stay.

Much better than expected for holiday camp accommodation.

Excellent 3 night stay & very dog friendly, clean with everything we needed for a 3 night stop over. Would stay again.

Fabulous chalet on a great park.

Well equipped with everything you need for a short or long break away. Lovely to have the welcome basket of tea, coffee, biscuits etc too.

Very pleased with the chalet very clean and spacious in the open plan living/kitchen.

The bedrooms were excellent the kids loved the bunk beds,only one thing that didnt work was one of the bedside lamps. Down stairs was every thing you would ever need on holiday (the microwave could do with replacing rusty) would like to visit again thanks for a good holiday Doug

A wonderful chalet, You open the door and you are greeted with the most wonderful open plan sitting room, kitchen.

Everything is spotless. As I said, a really welcoming chalet with everything but a butler.

The Chalet was very comfortable and high quality bedding was provided.

The owner’s were very helpful. However ‘Sykes’ don’t offer any form of refund for a booking cancellation even with a months notice. I had booked this chalet for 10 weeks as I was between properties and didn’t need the last two weeks 26 July -5 Aug these weeks were expensive and no offer of any form of refund
