Sawtons Cottage 1

It was amazing to see the property owner has cared a lot for us by putting very essentials, like milk, coffee, Tea and even nice Gingerbread biscuits.

I loved my stay in the property and will consider to rent it again...

Directions to the cottage were excellent, with easy parking the cottage was lovely and clean, very spacious and well equipped, with wonderful comfy beds.

We only had one issue which was very quickly resolved by the owner, they couldn’t have been more helpful. Dawlish Country Park - a 5min drive away - was nearest to walk your dogs. A return visit to explore beaches we didn’t have time for - many dog friendly all year round - would be lovely.

Quiet location, plenty of room & very comfortable. Everything was provided for a very nice holiday.

Lovely accommodation, very clean and tidy.

Plenty of seating, kitchen is fully equipped, bathroom amazing with options of large bath or shower. Was left a lovely welcome pack on arrival too. The area is a great base for exploring Devon with Torquay in one direction or the Dartmoor national park in the other both less than an hours drive. Would definitely recommend and will be rebooking in the future.

Good location, which is near Exeter and for exploring local area

The cottage was clean and cosy, with excellent facilities.

We travelled with our dog Ted and stayed for 4 nights. There was plenty of space inside and a private patio area outside. We did find the double bed duvet rather small , no overhang on the sides. We exercised Ted in a nearby field in the mornings which was very convenient. The horticultural area behind the cottages was a bit untidy but we found it very quiet and would definitely stay there again. Margaret

This was a lovely clean, comfortable cottage, maintained to a high standard.

The little extras of milk, biscuits on arrival and dishwasher tablets were very thoughtful. Lovely views across the countryside from the bunk bedroom and although next to a working farm area it was quiet and peaceful. Thank you

The accomodation is in an ideal spot if U want peace and quiet away from hustle and bustle, lovely walks and ideal if you have a dog.

It's about 3/4 mile to bus stop which has a regular service to local beaches and attractions. The accomodation was lovely and clean.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sawtons Cottage.

We were so impressed by the standard of comfort and cleanliness. We also really appreciated all the little 'extras' you had thought of: milk in the fridge, biscuits, dishwasher tablets etc. It took us a while to work out how to turn on the cooking hob, but probably because we hadn't fully read where the instructions were located. All in all though, we loved it and would definitely return and recommend it to our friends. It takes a great deal of care, effort and money to present and maintain a property to this high standard. So bravo! and many thanks.

Lovely accommodation.

Unfortunately there was a strong smell of dogs in the lounge and hall way. We ourselves do not have a dog so we were a bit sensitive to the odour. We have stayed in places that accommodate pets before but probably won’t in the future now as my partner had to take anti histamines as it was causing him to sneeze so badly. I’m sure people with pets wouldn’t notice it as much as we did. The mattresses were quite soft but you can’t please everyone. We could hear the neighbours talking, doors banging and a dog barking in the bedroom next door late on a couple of nights which caused a bit of a disturbed night. With all that said, we loved the property, the layout. It was comfortable and well presented. We personally wouldn’t stay here again but I would recommend it to friends who take their pets on holiday with them.

We had a fantastic stay at this holiday let and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

The property was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. The milk in the fridge was very much appreciated after an 8 hour drive! With the tasty biscuits, it was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel instantly at home. The setting was peaceful and scenic, a big field behind the accommodation was perfect for walking the dog—ideal for unwinding—yet still conveniently located for exploring nearby towns and attractions. If we had to be really picky, a king-size bed would have made it absolutely perfect—but that’s honestly the only minor suggestion in an otherwise flawless stay. We’d gladly return and highly recommend this lovely spot to others!

The property was more than enough for the 3 of us plus our 4 legged family member, the property was lovely and clean and everything we needed was there and to hand.

The cottage was fabulous, every detail had been considered, such as tea towels, soaps and dishwasher tabs.

There was a lovely welcome awaiting in the kitchen of a vase of daffodils with tea, sugar, teapot and biscuits and a pint of milk in the fridge. Our dog was welcome, even doggy blankets were supplied.

First class owners were very welcoming Would Benoit from a small washing machine

Simply one of the best holiday lets we have ever used, it is up a narrow road with plenty of passing places, so no problem at all!

Sykes cottage, was lovely, comfortable, large bath tub, which was one of the reasons we choose this cottage, l have health problems with my knees, so after a long day out and about exploring Devon, to relax in a hot bath was heaven! We will certainly return!!!!!

Stayed here from 18/08/23-25/08/23 lovely home from home with lots of lovely little touches , there was everything you need , it was immaculate , great position to visit near by beaches & to enjoy great days out , would definitely recommend & would book again , thank you for a great holiday.

The cottage was immaculate and very well appointed and in a rural setting with nice views out the front which was fine However, the cottage sits on the site of a scrapyard!

A great place to come back and rest after a days walking. A secluded but honestly helps you to rest.
