    “The location and view were unrivalled and the house was well equipped.”

    Paying 3k a week means I would have expected the following and we were disappointed with the following: 1. The house was superficially clean, however there were tissues and used ear plugs under the master bed. The kitchen bin and the step in the master dressing room were filthy (I have photos if you would like). Some of the kitchen drawers were dirty. In the information book there was a lot of talk about dogs and dog hair. Our dog is brown and a breed that does not shed hair and the downstairs ...

In the information book there was a lot of talk about dogs and dog hair. Our dog is brown and a breed that does not shed hair and the downstairs is full of white dog hair, so much so my eldest suffered with his allergy. 2. 3 toilet rolls for 6 people for 2 weeks is a little bit mean. 3. Only one hand towel provided in the double upstairs bedroom, none anywhere else. 4. The downstairs bedroom has a damp issue, clothes in the room were damp and couldn’t be kept in there. The whole room Smells damp. 5. Limited cleaning products to keep the house clean 6. Other houses of a similar price we have stayed in provide a lovely welcome pack. We were left tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The house is beautiful but for the price they are charging I would exact a better level of accommodation. The view is amazing and the change of bedding mid way through was appreciated. Dog towels and bowls are a good idea. The BBQ is excellent. Maybe a warning about the slippy floor in the sunken garden.

South-facing, with full-height windows/doors to ensure the ever-changing seascape is rarely out of sight, the interior is light and spacious with a welcoming holiday atmosphere.

To the front, width-of-house sea-facing decked terrace with glazed balustrades (table/chairs, gas barbecue) for sunset drinks and alfresco suppers.

DOWNDERRY

Looe 6 miles; Liskeard 10 miles; Polperro 11 miles; Plymouth 18 miles.

Downderry is a small quiet coastal village situated in south east Cornwall. Downderry has a sheltered beach, deli, and a cliff top pub and an excellent restaurant, serving quality local food. At low tide it is possible to walk along the beach from Downderry to Seaton, where you will find a family friendly south facing beach and the nearby Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature reserve is home to wildlife, including otters and kingfishers and also offers great cycling and walking opportunities. The picturesque working harbours at Looe and Polperro are within an easy driving distance away, and the wonderful stretches of the South West Coast Path in this part of Cornwall take you to rocky coves, dramatic headlands and tales of shipwrecks and smugglers. Further afield is Plymouth, where you will find plenty to see and do, including a marine aquarium, a theatre, large shopping centres and the historic Barbican waterside area.
