The property

Hog End is a charming barn conversion set deep in the rolling landscapes of the Blackdown Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Devon.

Sleeping up to four guests, it’s an appealing retreat for couples, families, or friends seeking a quiet break surrounded by open countryside and fresh air.

Inside, the barn blends rustic character with quality finishes, offering a spacious open-plan living area ideal for cooking, dining, and relaxing together.

The kitchen is fully equipped for easy self-catering, while the comfortable lounge provides a welcoming spot to unwind after a day exploring.

Both bedrooms feature their own en-suite bathrooms, one a king-size with a Juliet balcony overlooking sweeping fields, the other a flexible zip-and-link room that can be arranged as a king or twin.

A downstairs cloakroom and thoughtful extras such as a travel cot, highchair, and hairdryer add to the sense of ease.

Step outside to your own private courtyard garden, complete with outdoor seating and a barbecue for summer evenings between April and October.

Beyond, a six-person hot tub offers the ultimate place to soak and take in serene rural views stretching towards the woodland.

Private parking is available right at the front of the property.

The nearby village of Dunkeswell provides everyday essentials, along with a friendly pub, Indian restaurant, and traditional fish and chip shop.

Thrill-seekers can visit Dunkeswell Airfield for tandem skydives, while the market town of Honiton tempts with antique shops, independent cafés, and weekly markets.

The Jurassic Coast is easily reached by car for beach walks and fossil hunting, while family attractions such as Yarak Birds of Prey, Diggerland, and The Bear Trail promise great days out for all ages.

DUNKESWELL

Honiton 5 miles; Exeter 23 miles.

In the south of the peaceful Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, ‘Old Dunkeswell’ is a typical Devon village with some Abbey ruins. ‘New Dunkeswell’ has a good general store, off licence and Post Office. The village is ideally placed for exploring the World Heritage site of the Jurassic Coast, the cathedral city of Exeter and the open moorland of Dartmoor and Exmoor.

Please note that we do not allow parties and as this is a destination for people to relax and recharge, we ask that noise is kept to a minimum after 10pm.
