The shower in the double room downstairs the drain was blocked with hair etc. We unblocked that, the drain outside where the washing machine water comes out was also blocked and water would go all over the patio. The shower in the upstairs bedroom had not been cleaned. Throughout the accommodation there were dead flies. The windowsills were dirty and covered in them. I messaged one of the contacts after we left only to be told they no longer worked for Muddy Udders. They forwarded the message to the owner and I received a curt message asking what the issues were despite my original message being forwarded to them. I resent the message again to the owner but have yet to receive a response. These issues may seem small to others, however we have one holiday a year and I do expect the accommodation to be of a certain standard in regards to cleanliness.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. I want to sincerely apologise that your experience on arrival did not meet the high standards we set for our accommodation. Cleanliness and hygiene are of the utmost importance to us and I am truly sorry that this was not reflected during your stay. We did experience problems with our previous cleaning company which has now been resolved and we have hired a new team to make sure this never happens again. I also have someone on site who could and would have dealt with the drain problem straight away if you had messaged during your stay. Unfortunately the heavy rainfall at the time added to the issue with the outside drain and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Please rest assured your points are valid and have been addressed with immediate effect. I will also message you personally as it is important to me that you know how seriously we take this. If I came across as curt in any communication I apologise as that was never my intention. We have never previously received a complaint but we take this as an opportunity to improve further. Thank you again for raising these issues — your feedback helps us continue to provide the best possible experience for our guests. We look forward to welcoming you again and showing you the highest standards we are known for. Property Owner
