Hole Park

Hole Park is such a wonderful property, so much so that we didn’t want to leave and would happily live here permanently.

The gardens are amazing as are the surrounding fields (especially when they have cows in). The property is perfectly situated for exploring Devon and Cornwall. Sharon and Phil are great hosts and thank them for our much needed pasties and dog lead plus we enjoyed our drink at the brewery and loved watching the cows being milked. We will definitely return in the future.

Hole Park, as soon as we saw it, we knew would be the place we could stop and breathe. The weather was hot, too hot for adventuring with a dog, but the shades of the garden trees provided dreamy long days outside, amongst the bird song, nose in a good read and watch the glorious swallows and their evening dances in the sky. We wanted more than home from home, we wanted an elevated experience to transcend ordinary home life, and Hole Park provides just that. A tasteful, chic country bolt hole. We are rested, revived, and more in love than ever. We could have stayed much longer, we wish we did because those gardens, oh my, the true gem of Hole Park and a piece of my heart is still strolling about the garden field, chasing every last bit of the sun to the days end. Sublime.

We were so lucky to find this absolute gem of a holiday retreat.

From the moment we arrived to the second we left, we felt at ease, relaxed and instantly in holiday mode. Even our dog, settled quickly, enjoying the beautifully kept gardens. The owners Sharron and Phil, could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning soon hopefully.

This bungalow is second to none.

All amenities provided, even fans which we needed with the hot weather. The garden is beautiful and our Jack Russell enjoyed roaming about. This is the best holiday property we have stayed in. The welcome pack was appreciated. Sharon and Phil also provided dog treats. Very thoughtful.

Superb accommodation, the owners Phil and Sharon were very helpful on local amenities and general help.

Garden was superb for our 2 dogs they loved it.If you wanted to cook there was plenty of utensils,we also had a couple of takeaways delivered which we enjoyed.. All in All a very roomy accommodation that we would recommend to anyone,thank you Phil and Sharron

As always Hole Park as been a wonderful retreat, spotlessly clean,very comfortable, well equipped and such beautiful grounds which guarantee you privacy and such peace and quiet, only the sound of the birds and occasionally the cows passing in the fields ,perfect and such lovely hosts Sharon and farmer Phil, who call and give you a wonderful welcome, we love it there so much, I’ve booked my fourth holiday at Hole Park.

Another wonderful week of R&R at Hole Park, it really is a home from home, that has everything you could possibly need.

Spacious,well laid out accommodation.

Well maintained and absolutely spotless, situated in a lovely rural setting. Holsworthy 10 mins away, with a superstore and local shops. Bude 20 mins drive,with plenty of parking and great coastal/beach walks. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this property.

This is a wonderful property.

It's comfortable, spotlessly clean and is very well-equipped. It has a large, safe garden with beautiful views and the dogs loved it! We've stayed in many cottages but Hole Park is the first one where we've actually met the owners, which made it much more personal. Phil and Sharon are fantastic hosts. They were very friendly and provided us with lots of information for our stay. There are many woodland walks a short drive away. We were also invited by Phil and Sharon to walk the dogs along the tracks and in the fields surrounding the property. Unfortunately, the extreme wet weather made some of the tracks muddy. The covered porch outside was very useful for storing jackets and boots, and the hosepipe was ideal for cleaning muddy paws. Thank you! We had a lovely break, despite the weather!

Another wonderful Christmas at Hole Park.

This is such a perfect place to spend Christmas; comfortable, peaceful and lovingly decorated by Sharon! Everything you need in the kitchen, comfy beds and furniture and hours spent sat watching the birds and wildlife. Sharon and Phil are perfect hosts and always there if you need them. Gutted we ran out of time to see the cows being milked but hopefully next time! Thank you again for a lovely stay

Hole park is a fabulous property.

Comfortable sofas and beds , very well equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare meals in the very classy kitchen . The garden is the most glorious place to just sit out and chill , our dogs loved the space , if you are looking for down time , with peace and quiet , this is the place to visit . No need to leave the cottage although plenty of places to visit in the area , The owners are a lovely couple who take the time to pop in and have a chat , they couldn’t be more helpful. A lovely basket of goodies awaits your arrival, the best we have ever had on our trips to Devon and cornwall. We would love to return ❤️

The bungalow is stunning and a great base to explore. We visited many places and would recommend the Cornwall of War Museum. The highlight of the week was visiting your farm and seeing how it’s works, meeting the cows and all their calves. Bottle feeding the newly born calves was amazing and what an experience. The welcoming party of Nelson, Cooper and Willow was appreciated. Thanks for the early check it was a nice surprise and we have already booked for next year. An absolutely wonderful place a perfect base to explore Devon and Cornwall.

The owners even shared their precious and hectic time to show us the milking process. We even saw new born calf only 2 hours old. Thank you.

Although they have a busy time looking after the farm they invited us along to see all the new calf's that had just been born. The accommodation was excellent and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a rural retreat. I can sum up our break in one word. FABULOUS. Kevin Glynn

15th August to 22nd August 2025 We have holidayed in Cornwall for many, many years and this is one of the nicest places we stayed in by far.

Phil and Sharon are lovely people and seeing the cows being milked was one of the highlights of our holiday, the children loved meeting, feeding and naming the new calf 'Gracie'. Grounds and gardens are perfect and the kids loved the swings and running around the gardens with our cocker spaniel. Hope to be back very soon. Thank you for a lovely stay. Wonderful location and the property was beautiful.

What can we say about Hole?

! It is simply stunning we had the amazing 2 weeks here. The property has everything you need and more. The outside space was just stunning out dogs loved the freedom. Inside the property was immaculate with every attention to detail having an airfryer was such a bonus. The hosts were lovely too the welcome goodies was such a lovely touch. They were approachable and came to our rescue when a cow escaped it was entertaining seeing it roaming free!!. Honestly i have nothing bad to say about this property at all and we would really love to visit again in the future. This is 100% the best property we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in alot over the years. Thank you again.

Absolutely fantastic - well-equipped with everything you would possibly need !

The property itself was immaculate and absolutely stunning. The garden was beautiful with plenty of grounds for thr dogs and kids to run around as well as lots of birds spotting . The hosts themselves were extremely welcoming and provided us with the opportunity to get hands on at the farm which was an awesome experience and very much appreciated! We were sad to leave and hope to be back in the future!

Hole Park is the perfect holiday home for peace and quiet.

Everything about the location and property is very relaxing and well planned out. A place to completely unwind and get away from everyday stresses of life. Felt like, I was home. Found it hard to leave! All you can hear, are the birds and sometimes, the cows. Highly recommend the diary visit, that the hosts offer. Sharon and Phil are the perfect hosts. Made us feel right at home. They went out of their way, to ensure that we had everything that we needed. If I could give this home 100 stars, I would. Absolutely amazing. Property lived up to expectations, including very friendly contact with Phil & Sharron as others described.

The bungalow is a quiet, peaceful haven. Spacious & well furnished & equipped, the property feels very special to the owners, and it shows. The property has extensive gardens with carefully selected & arranged trees & shrubs, with easy access to all areas. Worth a mention - the general friendliness of the local people.

Everything about our stay at Hole Park was top notch.

The attention to detail lavished on the bungalow and grounds meant that we all relaxed and begun to enjoy our stay right from the off (which begin with a much appreciated early check in). We were informed of this two days before we travelled via a call from Sharron and this excellent communication was maintained throughout the week by both Sharron and Phil. They are truly great hosts and obviously enjoy making the stays of their guests as special as possible. Would thoroughly recommend this gem on the Devon / Cornwall border!

A lovely bungalow in a lovely setting with lovely hosts so you could say it was LOVELY !

Comfortable, spotlessly clean and you felt at home as soon as you walked in. Out in the garden you felt cocooned by nature. We were very sad to leave but we will be booking again for next year. We all loved it, including the dog, and would highly recommend it.

Second time at Hole Park, absolutely beautiful, nothing can be faulted, the house , the gardens and the hosts are all amazing , within being back approximately half an hour at Hole Park, I booked it again for next year, we love it there, so peaceful and relaxing, plenty of room, comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Roll on until the next time, lovely to see Sharon and Phil again , they make you feel so welcome, they even provide goodies for both us and the doggies , thank you .

What can I say but WOW!

I almost don’t want to share this gem of a place with everyone so I can keep it all to myself, the property gets booked up so quickly I want to make sure there’s space for me to go back lol. So from start to finish the communication from the wonderful hosts Sharon & Phil was exceptional, the call the morning before our arrival to make sure everything is ok and to let us know they are on hand if we need anything, and that they will pop round after our arrival to introduce themselves. We were even able to arrive earlier than the stated check in time. Nothing was too much trouble to these wonderful hosts who run their own farm so are very busy but will always find time to attend to your every need, going above and beyond to help in anyway. The property is fairly remote in the countryside, approximately 10 min drive to the small town of Holsworthy that had a small Waitrose, local Co-op store, a couple of dog friendly pubs, our favourite was the Kings Arms, the owners were lovely, and a few basic shops, but enough if you aren’t too bothered about shopping. Most larger towns are a little bit of a drive away. We were able to secure a Morrisons food delivery to the accommodation which was most helpful and I believe other stores will deliver too. Our lovely host Sharon arrived not long after us to introduce herself, she was very informative, advising about the amenities in the property etc and offered advice about lots of various places we could visit, answering any questions we may have had. The property was stunning, it contained everything you could possibly need, plus more. There was a lovely welcoming hamper on arrival, with fresh milk in the fridge, very useful. The layout of the bungalow was wonderful, I really enjoyed the different areas. There were beautiful top quality towels available in every bedroom for guests, toilet rolls in the bathrooms, the beds were very comfortable, as were the sofas, plenty of seating for everyone. We spent most of our time in the dining room/garden view room, the views were incredible. We could not get over the well maintained stunning gardens with the beautifully mowed lawns which we know were looked after by a very hardworking young man. One of the highlights for us was drinking our morning brew watching the array of wildlife, the daily visits from the woodpecker and various birds. Goodness are we going to miss that garden. My folks pooch is definitely going to miss exploring the various areas of the grounds. The property contained literally everything you could think of, I would suggest checking out the contents of the various kitchen and lounge drawers early on in your stay as we were still discovering things on our last day. We were fortunate enough to have stayed during a mini heatwave, the only thing I could have done with was a fan or two as it got very hot in the rooms, but tbh there could have been one in one of the cupboards I never got to explore, so apologies if there was any, and I know had I asked the hosts they would have happily sourced one for us immediately, as would they a hairdryer had I not brought mine from home, but there isn’t anything else I could think of that wasn’t provided, there was games, books, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, tinfoil, binoculars, carrier bags, first aid kit, umbrellas, batteries and much much more. Everything was clean & tidy, you can tell the owners cared greatly about the place and have gone to great measures to insure your stay is stress free and relaxing. We are so grateful for everything from start to finish and most definitely will be back, if we can get another booking, as it’s so popular, if you visit once you will be sure to return. To the wonderful hosts Sharon & Phil, thank you for everything, it was a privilege to meet you and stay in your beautiful holiday home. We look forward to returning asap. We pray everything went as well as could be expected for your dear Mum/in law, you were in our thoughts on the day, god bless you. Now I need to book for next year lol.

Fantastic property with lovely owners, phil and sharon comunicated with us before we even arrived to ensure we knew everything we needed to know, going that extra mile to ensure the property was available before the allocated time slot On arrival we were greated with a lovely hamper and some milk to make a cuppa, phil and sharon popped into greet us and ensure everything was ok.

The property itself is in a very relaxing spot where you can enjoy peace and quiet watching the bird life with the well positioned bird feeder.The property has very comfortable beds and two good showers, the living spaces were well furnished and very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need to eat in and cook. Sharon and Phil also kindly offered us a visit to there dairy farm,and took the time to walk us through the process and treat us to a cuppa and buscuits in there lovely farmhouse. Ive stayed all over all over the country in many homes but this is one of the best,so clean and tidy , with yhr added bonus of the best host/owners weve ever met, needless to say we will definately be returning

Amazing property, very spacious with a huge garden and countryside views.

If I could find 1 fault it would be the ensuite bathroom which requires some updating, otherwise a perfect place to stay.

What a fantastic property in the most serene surroundings.

The garden is huge which our two dogs loved! The inside of the bungalow is spacious and has everything you would need, a stunning kitchen and living / dining room and a little snug with TV and log burner which was lovely. The main bathroom was so luxurious with a great shower! Hole Park is a great place to explore Devon from, and Bude in Cornwall not far either. We felt so relaxed and happy here and for the first time ever I was quite emotional having to leave. Even our dogs are sulking being home now having spent many a day running around on the lovely beaches or exploring towns and villages. This is the type of property others will find very hard to compete with - I’ve booked several cottages over the last few years each time in February and Hole Park is the only one I’d return to with the drop of a hat time and time again. It was just the two of us with our two dogs and we had so much space to feel at home in and storage , something that is hard to find. The owners Sharon and Phil are two lovely people who were so friendly and helpful. We loved it! Would recommend to anyone who values peace and quiet but likes to explore! We will be back!

Would recommend this holiday home to anyone the hosts are very friendly & approachable. Loved going down to there farm to see the cow's being milked. We are already sorting time off work to go back. 10/10

Well what can I say about hole park.

It's the most magical, beautiful bungalow and grounds we've stayed in. It sleeps 7, there was only two of us plus 2 dogs, but we never felt as if it was too big. We were always warm and cosy. The bungalow is very well laid out...the master bedroom is huge with lovely double doors leading onto a balcony...there's an ensuite with bath and shower and there's plenty of storage room too. The bed was so comfy. The main bathroom has the most wonderful shower which we used most of the time. We did have a peek at the other bedrooms which were all very roomy and beautiful. The kitchen was absolutely wonderful with soooo much room to store things and the window seat is lovely just to sit and look at the views. My favourite room is the dining/morning room with it's huge windows looking out to the gardens. Sitting there on a morning watching the sun come up over the lake was just so beautiful. There is another toilet and sink off this room which is handy if there are a few more people staying there. There is a utility that you walk into from the front door which is great when you have Been out all day and you can just leave your boots there. We fed our dogs in there too. The grounds were also huge with a wrap around garden and then a beautiful laid lawn area with fencing all around. The lake is also the owners where their cows drink from, this is all fenced off so dogs or children can not get to it although we still had to watch our smaller dog as she did get through the fence a couple of times so we kept her to the top of the garden by the bungalow or on a long lead down the bottom. Perhaps a bit of wire fencing over the original fencing at the bottom would stop any small dogs getting through. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owners Sharon and Phil and a lovely basket of goodies waiting for us which was much appreciated. Everything about hole park was just fantastic so if you want solitude, relaxation and to just chill out and you don't mind travelling to places then this is the place to go. Our dogs loved it too and the weather was fabulous, we were very lucky to have the sunshine everyday.....thank you Sharon and Phil for letting out this fabulous place we will definitely be back.

This is a lovely holiday bungalow and the views from the windows are delightful.

What really strikes you is the amazing amount of space on offer and the homely feel of the place. The beds were really comfortable and the attention to detail was amazing even down to the nightlights to guide you down the corridor at night. The only negative I can think of is the fact that there was no mirror in our bedroom (kingsize without en-suite) but that’s easily sorted. We had a wonderful stay and I will keep an image of the beautiful view from the sun room window in my mind for ever. A truly amazing place and would love to come back.

We have had a great time at The Hole and were made very welcome by the owners.

Everything you needed was provided for and the dogs really enjoyed the beautiful garden. We were a party of three families so there were areas indoors for everyone to have a quiet space if they wanted it and room to all be together in comfort too. Would certainly recommend The Hole to future guests

We had a lovely relaxing time here, the owners were really helpful and welcoming, the beds were extremely comfortable, everything we needed for cooking and doing our laundry was provided, a lovely welcome pack upon arrival, the heating was very efficient and it was great to spot hares and other wildlife in the garden- we would definitely recommend this property for the reasons listed, as well as being a great location for exploring that area of Devon and Cornwall - we can't wait to return!

We absolutely loved this property.

The bungalow was amazing, equipped with everything you could need for your stay. It was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, and situated in a lovely location. The grounds of the property are stunning and perfect for the dogs to run around in. The owners, Sharon and Phil, are lovely, welcoming, and very accommodating. We would love to return sometime soon.

I dont usually send reviews, but felt we had to after this holiday.

From arriving early at the property, thanks to Sharron and cleaners to the sadness of having to leave this amazing location. Its more than just the property, the setting is amazing in lovely gardens and very quiet. Everything and more we could wish for within the property. One little issue was very quickly sorted, which wasnt the fault of the owners. A mechanical issue, spare part was quickly obtained and fault sorted. The owners Sharron and Phil are such a friendly couple coming to meet us and say hello, any issues please let us know. We were invited to attend a milking session and even feed the young calves. Wouldnt hessitate to go back, now the cat is out of the bag to this amazing place I’m sure we will have trouble in future booking it. You’ll be sorry if you dont. PS one thought we had and mentioned to Sharron was the lack of a hoover to pick up bits through out the week. Her reply was your on holiday we didnt want you to have to feel you needed to hoover up just relax. Thanks for an amzing break. Bobby says Hi!.

Beautiful bungalow, with all the comforts and amenities you may need, set in beautiful surroundings, perfectly peaceful, a serene and tranquil place to help you to relax and unwind.

The furnishings are of excellent quality, the beds are really comfortable, there is absolutely nothing to fault about this gorgeous holiday home, and the hosts Sharon and Phil are both lovely, welcoming people, who genuinely want you to have a lovely holiday.

Whole park was beautiful.

Clean, comfortable. Everything we needed. The owners were really good hosts. Even rang one evening as it got chilly told us to put the heating up and turn the range on they didn’t want us to be cold. The garden was fantastic and well maintained which our dog absolutely loved. Would definitely stay again. Couldn’t fault anything. We have stay in 9 cottages in and around this area. This is the best by far. It was quiet and peaceful. Didn’t want to come home. Home from home. Loved the sun room the views were beautiful

Absolutely and easily the best holiday home we have stayed in, over 14 years holidaying in Devon and Cornwall.

Hole Park is a hidden gem, placed in beautiful countryside with a view from every window, we will 100% go back again. Sharon and Phil are amazing and awesome people, they bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. We forgot our dog food on the first night when we arrived, and Sharon popped back to the farm to get us some so that we didn't have to go out at 8.30pm to get some. We got to see the cows being milked and played croquet on the front lawn. Awesome holiday and one we will remember for ever.
