    “Well equipped hut considering its size!”

    Lovely peaceful location Took longer than expected to heat hot tub- didn’t get hot enough to use until 2nd day. Paddock could use grass cutting as grass very long.

    Hi Terry. Thanks for the review. Sorry you struggled a bit with the hot tub. Next time, please give us a call and we can come and get the fire going better. The paddock/meadow is cut a couple of times each year and in between is left long to encourage the wildlife. We are awaiting the second cut but are at the mercy of the local farmers’ busy schedule. Spend your evening alfresco, sharing stories or playing games and take a dip in the hot tub, the perfect way to soothe your tired legs after a long day of sightseeing!

When the stars appear overhead, escape back inside to enjoy a blissful shower and transform the dining space into a plush double bed, ready to curl up and doze off into a relaxing slumber.

If you can tear yourself away, visit the nearby St Andrew’s Church, a historic building known for its beautiful architecture and serene surroundings, or simply lace up your walking boots and head out on one of several footpaths and trails to discover your location on foot.

Hittisleigh is a small, rural hamlet set in mid Devon, located a couple of miles north of the A30 between Exeter and Okehampton. The hamlet is home to the Parish Church of St Andrews, built in the early medieval time with many later historic features such as reputedly the oldest church bells in Devon. Three miles away lies the hamlet of Whiddon Down, home to a fine pub, whilst further afield is the market town of Okehampton, where visitors can explore the ruins of Okehampton Castle, a prominent landmark and testament to the town’s medieval past, or explore several galleries and workshops that celebrate the creativity of local artists. The spectacular Dartmoor National Park is easily accessible and boasts a myriad of walking and hiking trails, spanning through unspoiled countryside and local wildlife.
