    “A wonderful spot, so quiet and beautiful the sunsets were mesmerising.”

    There is so much history in the building and surrounding area, beautifully positioned to visit local beaches and towns. The local walks are not for the faint hearted but worth the climb. Only negative was parking instructions the entrance to Cliff cottage/house says it’s PRIVATE and there is no mention of Shipwrights or the other two accommodation, so wasn’t sure if we could park. So maybe a sign indicating the other apartments and where they can park would definitely be helpful. But ...

The well-equipped kitchen, where you and your significant other can prepare a tasty meal for two to be enjoyed at the dining table or in the sitting room while you enjoy a film on the wall-mounted Smart TV, is a great place to start as you settle into your new home.

Galmpton Riverfront Apartments

The Galmpton Riverfront Apartments consists of two, charming properties set on the outskirts of the quaint Devonshire village of Galmpton, which rests between the old fishing port of Brixham to the east, and the fabulous independent shops of Totnes to the west and the foody destination of Dartmouth to the south. A short distance south of the Dartmoor National Park, this pair of ground-floor apartments, which are located directly on the edge of the River Dart, offer open-plan living spaces, parking, tasteful, on-site facilities, as well as superb positioning to nearby attractions and amenities. A brief car journey away from Galmpton will bring you to a variety of attractions, including the shops, well renowned restaurants and buildings of Dartmouth, the fishing town of Brixham, the Paignton Zoo Environmental Park and the National Trust landmark of Greenway, Agatha Christie’s house or Coleton Fishacre, the original home of the Doyly Carte family. Paignton 2.8 miles; Dartmouth 5.7 miles; Torquay 5.9 miles.

Galmpton is a lovely village between Paignton and Brixham, in a beautiful area known as Greenway, where there are well-maintained footpaths with stunning views of the River Dart, and opportunities for ferry rides along the river towards Dartmouth. The village hosts the friendly pub of The Manor Inn, where guests can savour wholesome and traditional dishes accompanied by wine or a pint. Galmpton is also served by an amply equipped post office & village shop, where visitors can purchase anything they need for a self-catered holiday. Galmpton is also within easy reach of Elberry Cove and Broadsands Beach, providing guests with easy access to Devon's delightful coastline. Churston Golf Course and Approach Golf Course also aren't far, making Galmpton an ideal base for putting fans!
