    “Cottage was ok but some cheap furniture in there.”

    No mirrors in the bedrooms, have to dry hair without looking. No dressing tables either. Not enough comfy lounge chairs for 6 people. WiFi hit and miss…..more of a miss though. Garden needs cleaning up……fences repainted/ slabs jet washing. Outside communal gardens completely overgrown…..weeds in between slabs as well as the flower beds. Games room could do with decorating. Walk in showers were tiny. Ground floor bedroom-Blind on small window mouldy, water stained. Blind on French door ...

Bathrooms relatively large compared to bedrooms……could have had larger shower cubicle in the one as it was tiny, (Other room had a bath). The place has huge potential as it could be beautiful but need to get on top of communal maintenance and keep it up. Play area looked good. considering it was half term there was no one there-I think one other cottage was occupied but didn’t see anyone, just their car.

The market towns of Ottery St Mary and Honiton are within easy reach and offer a good selection of independent shops as well as larger supermarkets perfect for stocking up on the everyday essentials. Honiton is a lively market town famous for its lace and pottery and being regarded as the antiques capital of the south west. Ottery St. Mary, often simply called "Ottery," boasts a storied past that stretches back to Saxon times. The town’s name derives from the River Otter, which runs through it, and the parish church dedicated to St. Mary. The 14th-century church, one of the town's most prominent landmarks, is a stunning example of Gothic architecture, resembling a miniature version of Exeter Cathedral. The town is also famed for its association with the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, who was born here in 1772 with the town celebrating this connection with an annual Coleridge Memorial Festival. A short drive will take you to the coast with its charming seaside towns of Exmouth and Sidmouth worthy of a visit. Explore this stretch of the UNESCO World heritage Jurassic Coast either on foot along the South West Coast Path or one of the many circular cruises which run from Exmouth marina.
