We arrived a long journey to be greeted by such an amazing house and unbelievable grounds.

Everything thatt we needed was there above and beyond. Although in a perfect location which was peaceful, we were close to local areas easily. I would highly recommend this amazing property

A lovely house that's full of delightful pictures and objects and with a very large and well-kept garden that has stunning views.

Two dining areas inside and four outside mean you are point for choice. It's the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in.

Pillars is a great house for a family holiday near the wonderful towns and beaches of North Devon.

Everything you need is provided. The garden is so lovely and has the added benefit of the summer house for relaxing and taking in the views. We have enjoyed holidays here for three consecutive years and coming back is always a treat.

The garden is a total delight with a variety of secluded sitting areas . The house has ample space to be enjoyed by everyone and is well equipped. We would highly recommend this property.

Pillars is a very comfortable and well equipped house with lots of room and a huge garden.

On arrival we found a lovely bag of goodies left for us, which is always so welcoming. It feels like a real home, and not a 'basic' holiday let, which makes it so nice. Masses of glasses, plates etc, and lots of nice touches around the house. A CD player with some CD's, a radio by the bed, a utility room with an extra fridge freezer, buckets and spades in the garage. We will book again!

Pillars has almost been our second home for the last 18 years.

A picture perfect place to spend Christmas or summer holidays or anytime of the year close to town ,beach or wonderful countryside. Always beautifully presented when we arrive, we cannot wait until our next visit.

This is a very spacious property with plenty of room for 6 people - double with en suite, two twins sharing a bathroom - having a large lounge with tv, a book-room, a small adjoining private patio, and a very big garden with distant views, and over the bridge across the pond with a daytime waterfall, a large round garden-house with seating for about 10.

The garden isn't fully fenced, but even our Irish Setters were disinclined to venture over the ridge at the bottom of the garden into a deep and steep bed of stingers and brambles! The fridge-freezer in the Utilities Room off the entrance hall is a useful addition to the full-size fridge in the kitchen, which is big enough for a week's worth of groceries, plus there's a dishwasher, a full oven with infra hob, a microwave (would have been handy to have instructions, though), a toaster, and all the equipment, cutlery and crockery you could need. The bread, milk, cake and bickies on arrival were most welcome, and Claire Shaw, the housekeeper, was very helpful when we advised her that unfortunately we needed to leave early due to unforeseen circumstances. This was our 2nd (or is it the 3rd?) stay at Pillars, and we plan to book again for next year.

We had a wonderful holiday despite the mixed weather.

The property is excellent, very clean, lovely gardens and great location for beaches, shops, etc. Would definitely recommend as there is nothing not to like. 5 star

Lovely cottage and gardens with everything you need, quiet location but only a few minutes drive to Braunton town centre, with Saunton beach about 15 minutes away.

Good communication from owner and checking in etc very easy.

Lovely cottage, Fantastic Gardens.

There were only two of us and our dog staying but the cottage is well suited to large families with lots of different and large rooms. Everything you need and more for a self catering holiday is provided. Lovely peaceful location but handy for shopping in Braunton and in easy reach of all North Devon beaches and attractions. The gardens are so nice it’s hard to drag yourself away for days out . Will definitely consider coming back for another stay.

The Pillars was carefully chosen to meet the needs of our family with our first grand child ( 3 months old) and our 4 year old cocker poo.

We loved the house,clean comfortable and beautifully kept. The property is well equipped,we had everything we could possibly need for our week together. We all enjoyed the beautiful garden especially our dog who loved the space. The house is well maintained & looked after. The property is clearly loved. Set in beautiful North Devon,its a perfect holiday destination

Our second visit this year which says it all. Very well equipped, specious, comfortable cottage with magnificent gardens . Lovely quiet location but close to all amenities . Great location to explore beutiful north Devon. Hope to come back again.

A very enjoyable weeks holiday with two good friends,eveything was as described and what we expected, it would have been better visiting in Summer to more enjoy the excellent garden and outdoor facilities.

The owner was vey helpful with a couple of very small queries. A good location for visiting North Devon, we ate out in local restaurants every evening, strongly recommend Squires fish restaurant in Braunton. Definitely we will go again hopefully next year.

A beautiful property.

The garden is huge - a bonus for our small dog who loved racing around. Kitchen is well equipped. Bathroom and bedrooms are large and comfortable. Utility room is useful for storing muddy shoes and dog stuff. Plenty of hot water and heating. The fire in the living room really kicks out a lot of heat so you can warm up quickly when needed. A lovely place to stay and I would recommend.
