Quayside View

This was our second year staying here.

House is in a great location with beautiful views over the Harbour. It was lovely and clean and very comfortable. Tea, coffee and a carton of milk was already provided on arrival which was perfect! Plus a few little treats. I went with my husband and our four boys. Plenty of room for us all! They loved it again so much that we’ve booked for next year!

This year was our second visit to this property after a wonderful holiday last year.

The house is just as well appointed and decorated as our previous visit! The house is perfectly located in Brixham for getting to the town or beach, the off road parking is a real bonus in a town with limited parking spaces. Vanessa and Trevor are excellent owners who really go the extra mile to make your stay special, this is definitely our “happy place” and we are already planning our next holiday there!

This property is probably one of the best deals in terms of both quality and price in Brixham and the Torbay area.

The property is clean, full of light, and nicely decorated. The views of the harbour and beyond from the front terrace and the main bedroom are wonderful. There are footpaths straight from the property to have delightful walks to Berry Head, St Mary's Bay, and Man Sands. My only criticism is that the property has only one downstairs bathroom and no separate WC. While this was adequate for a family of four, it could be an issue for a larger group.

Perfect location with stunning views.

Owners have thought of all facilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Spotless accommodation. 5 minute walk from Harbour. Parked car and used ferry service to visit other resorts. Can’t fault anything.

This was our second visit to Quayside View as it was as good as the first time!

The house is clean and comfortable and has all the facilities you need to have a great holiday. Vanessa & Trevor are brilliant hosts and even left me a gift for my special birthday which I celebrated whilst staying there which was very much appreciated! Having dedicated parking too and the brilliant view from the main bedroom - what's not to like? Thank you for a great stay!

It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, had beautiful views across the harbour & everything you'd need is provided along with a few essentials for when we arrived! Couldn't ask for better & would definitely return! Thank you for the gifts too!

We absolutely loved staying at Quayside View.

The house was so clean and had absolutely everything we needed. It was nice to arrive and have milk, tea, coffee already there and a lovely basket of treats. I cannot fault the property at all, the whole family loved it and we’ve booked the stay there again next year! Perfect.

This was the best holiday home we have ever stayed in.

The external and internal decoration was to an exceptional standard, the views and facilities of really allowed up have the absolute best of times!

Great holiday let, clean, comfortable, well equiped in a really good location with off street parking.

We would not hesitate to stay again, had a lovely week. Being at the top of the hill it could be challenging for the less active, lots of steps to the town or harbour.

The house was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Lots's of space downstairs with the lounge at the front of the house, dining room behind that and the galley kitchen at the back of the house. Bathroom is downstairs beyond the kitchen which we kept forgetting about! Going upstairs to bed and go to clean your teeth etc, and then remember the bathroom is downstairs - we got used to it though! Would definitely recommend this place :)

Quayside is one of the best holiday cottages we have rented.

The location is fantastic and the views wonderful.. it was spotlessly clean, had everything we could possibly need and the parking spaces were a huge bonus. The hosts, Vanessa and Trevor, were so helpful and accommodating. We would 100% recommend a stay here.

What a great property Quayside View is.

Comfortable with everything you could need and spotlessly clean. The location is great too, with views of harbour from the front and a very short walk to the town. We loved getting back every evening and relaxing in front of the TV on the reclining sofas and chair. Great hosts with some nice complimentary wine and treats. Would certainly try booking it again if and when we return to the area.

Fabulous cottage, home from home!

Really appreciated attention to detail.

Milk on arrival was fantastic!!! Very very clean as well which is so often not the case. View and access to the marina was also very good.

The fact that we have stayed at this property countless times since 2011 says it all!

The house is tastefully decorated and the owners have recently replaced the dining room window with patio doors and laid slabs over the back yard to make a pleasant area to sit. We love the situation high up on the hillside in Brixham with a fantastic view across Torbay, but only a short walk from town (via one of the many sets of steep steps or slopes so good fitness training!), or in the other direction the marina, breakwater and Breakwater Beach, plus a little further on Shoalstone sea-water pool.

The property is superb, in both comfort and facilities it's in lovely location high above Brixham harbour with stunning views around Torbay.

Absolutely wonderful property, everything you needed and lovely views, the walk down to the harbour has lots of steps so was a bit of a workout!

The harbour has plenty of nice places to eat and drink and lovely walks, Berry Head is a must and cafe there serves the best crab sandwich ever ! Thank you to the hosts

We really loved this property and booked it as it was convenient for visiting a family member and his family who live in Brixham and were only about 5 minutes away by car.

The property itself was very clean and tidy and it had everything you would need for your stay whether it be a long weekend, a week or even 2 weeks. It had everything you would need regarding utensils for cooking your own food if that was your intention during your stay. The bedrooms and the beds were very clean and comfortable and there was a great view from the front bedroom window and there was even binoculars sitting in the front bedroom to take in the view from the bedroom window. There was a lovely little touch in the dining room of a bottle of wine, which we did leave untouched, and a small box of shortbread biscuits and a small box of fudge, which we did eat. We did hire a car for our visit to Brixham and it was great that we were able to park it in off the road in the parking area at the front of the house. Overall there is absolutely nothing negative we could say about this property as everything was prefect for us and we would certainly stay here again.

Spotlessly clean, modern, exceptional comfortable beds and a fabulous location.

The parking spaces were an added bonus and communication with the owners was fantastic. We had a wonderful stay and can not recommend this property highly enough.

All was modern, clean and comfortable and everything had been thought of. The views from the house were second to none! Having your own parking space was great but difficult to get out of when someone parked on the road opposite. Not far to walk into town, but could be difficult walking back for some - we had our daily workout several times a day! We will definitely be back!

Aside form the property being spotlessly clean and tidy in great location the owners were absolutely amazing!

Contacted us to say we could check in early if we wanted to, had put Xmas decorations throughout the property, had left a very generous 'hamper' of food and drink goodies. So kind and thoughtful-made the holiday experience one our best ever!

A well placed cottage for views of the harbour and Torbay.

Excellent facilities, clean and very presentable. A Highly recommended property, thoughtfully furnished. We would happily stay there again if the owners would have us.

What a fabulous holiday cottage, everything you need.

The views of the harbour are just brilliant, spent many a minute watching the fishing boats come in. Brixham is such a lovely little place and the cottage is ideally situated for exploring Brixham but also close to Dartmouth, Paignton and Torquay to name but a few. Can't wait to visit again and would definately book into Quayside View if available.

We stayed here from the 7th to the 14th July and loved every minute.

The views are amazing, we spent every night and morning sat at the window upstairs looking down at the harbour, the binoculars were a great touch. The house was spacious, cosy and had everything we needed and more, the owners left us toiletries, cleaning products and treats, we were so grateful , my husband and I both said its the best holiday home we have stayed in, the house has WiFi which was great for us to book our days out whilst on holiday, the bed was so comfy , we both slept amazingly and our teenage son loved his stay too, it's such an added bonus to have off road parking too. The location is perfect, just down the steps and a 5 minute walk you're at the harbour, Brixham is beautiful and we can't praise the house and owners enough. Thank you for enabling us to have the best holiday and we hope to return

Lovely property, clean well maintained very comfortable everything you could possibly need and stunning views of Torbay.

We loved staying in this beautiful house.

It was so pretty and the photos do not do it justice. The rooms are bright with fab decorations, and the furnishings are so comfortable. Having 2 parking spaces was really brilliant as the roads are narrow. The steps up to the house from the harbour would be difficult for someone with mobility problems but there are taxis about to drop you up and lots of parking down in the harbour. We would love to go back and definitely recommend this holiday home.

Quayside is a lovely, clean, well-equipped cottage.

It is in a great location (as long as your knees can cope with steps), as it's very close to the centre of Brixham and a beach, but is high enough up to be quiet at night. Lovely touches like milk in the fridge, and tea, coffee and biscuits are very thoughtful.

Quayside view was spotlessly clean, and very well equipped, the owners had thought about absolutely everything.

It exceeded our expectations. All the rooms were decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The welcome treats from the owners were very much appreciated too. The parking spaces at the property were an added bonus, and the view from the property over the harbour and bay towards Torquay were wonderful, especially the fireworks for the Coronation. A fantastic property but the very steep climb back up to the house is not suitable for people with mobility problems.

It was spotlessly clean, the location was fantastic and the goodies left by the owners were very much appreciated. We would thoroughly recommend this property and its parking spaces are a bonus. We hope to return.

This is a lovely, clean, well equipped house, in a great location.

The photos are accurate, it is comfy, and was the perfect place to stay for us. The owners left a very kind welcome package, which was a lovely touch, and we are definitely considering renting Quayside View again next year. The only thing I would say to be wary of is that Brixham is very hilly, and there are a lot of steps and steep climbs to get up to this property. If you have limited mobility, then this probably isn't the best choice. Other than that, it's a lovely holiday base.

Superb Property the best we have stayed in in Brixham

A lovely house, had everything we needed.

Gorgeous views. All freshly painted, smell was a bit overwhelming at 1st but we soon got used it and it all looked so fresh and clean! The bed was so comfy we were out like a light every night!!!! Great location for the beach and the harbour. Would highly recommend!!

Fantastic cottage, great location and view.

Parking was easy but getting back out required a little thought and a 3 point turn. Walk into town was easy (downhill) as was the cab back (£5), which was worth every penny. Restaurants in Brixham and surrounding area were amazing.

We had a great week.

The cottage has lovely views over Brixham and the bay. It was clean, warm and looked newly decorated and furnished. We had everything we needed and the welcome pack was much appreciated.

Absolutely amazing house.

Spotlessly clean, in fact the cleanest holiday home I’ve ever stayed in. The attention to detail was superb. Everything was catered for. Lovely welcome pack too. The view - wow. Enjoyed a few glasses of wine on the patio watching the harbour. Great to have a drive at the front of the property, but it was a bit of a squeeze to get out if someone was parked on the yellow lines opposite. Already looking at dates to return. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.

We enjoyed a wonderful, comfortable stay at Quayside View.

It was spotlessly clean, the quality of the furniture was excellent and the decor bright and fresh. We loved the views from the elevated position and the steps up from the harbour helped to work off the local pasties and tasty fish and chips. Having a parking place was a real bonus in Brixham, as was the close proximity to the Southwest Costal Path which was just a short walk away. Vanessa and Trevor were exceptionally helpful when we accidentally left items behind and the welcome pack was a very thoughtful addition. We really hope to stay at Quayside View again before too long.

I wanted to leave this review because this holiday home exceeded our expectations.

The house was extremely well presented and exceptionally clean. The owners have thought of everything you might need and left some lovely extras for us to enjoy our stay which we thought was a really nice touch. The views of the harbour from the house were my favourite and it’s literally a short walk into town so everything is on your doorstep. Parking is also worthy of a mention as that can be tricky in Brixham but this house has a large driveway suitable for two small or one large car. All in all we had a great stay despite the weather doing its best to ruin in it and would love to come back! Highly recommend this lovely holiday house

Extremely well equipped and very clean throughout.

Quayside view is the best holiday home I've ever stayed in - and I've stayed in many as I take most of my holidays in the UK.

The house was very well kept and spotlessly clean but what really made it stand out was all the equipment provided especially in the kitchen, so many go with the bear minimum. Great property, great location (as long as you can manage hills and stairs), well equipped with lots of thoughtful extras. I do not hesitate to recommend.

The only thing I would suggest is a bigger TV in the lounge or it could be just these tired old eyes.

The place was spotless and had everything you could want, one of nicest we've stayed at.

It an awful lot of steps from the harbour up to the cottage for anyone who has any mobility or breathing problems.

But worth it when you get there the cottage is wonderful and homely

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home.

Everything has been thought of. The house is spotless & the views amazing. As the weather was so kind to us we made full use of the outdoor areas. Parking was a huge bonus even though we didn't move the car for the week. Brixham is a lovely place to explore on foot. We also visited Torquay by ferry, which is £3.50 return. Would love to return to this house.

Absolutely fabulous!

Stunning views of the English Riviera, beautiful sunsets, very comfortable, Brixham a very picturesque town. We were a party of 6, and the house was plenty big enough. The house is very well equipped and the owners included some lovely touches. They Includied a hair dryer, torches in each room and a set of binoculars, spare batteries in the kitchen, biscuits, fudge, milk, tea and coffee , everything needed for cleaning, washing up and laundry, toiletries in the bathroom. The house is 5-10 mins walk downhill from the harbour, the lovely breakwater beach, and the town. There are 2 co-ops and a Tesco Express in the town as well as many places to eat. Beware, walking up is not so easy, the walk back up is Very steep- may be difficult if you have knee problems or mobility issues. ( you could always drive though, as there are a number if car parks) On Thursday mornings you can book a sea kayak adventure at the kayak club for £15, there are also free lifeboat tours in the harbour. Our teens had a fantastic 3 hour paddle boarding session for £20 with grenville house. We very much enjoyed crabbing in the harbour and our visit to the golden hind museum boat. Our teens took the ferry from torquay to brixham and it cost £2 each and took 20 mins- quicker than driving and cheaper than parking. Fantastic holiday. Would definately recommend.

Booked last minute and was not disappointed.

This house is set high above the harbour with sea views from the lounge and master bedroom windows which was lovely. The house was clean and had everything we needed for the holiday. Clearly the owners have pride in their property and have not skimped on anything. It was great to be able to walk into town and walk along to the beach. We didn't use the car during our stay. The only negative was the downstairs bathroom which we would compromise on again as everything else was wonderful. Brixham was perfect for us but I would not recommend for families with young children/babies or the elderly as there are a lot of very very steep steps down to the town/beach/harbour. All in all this was a gem of a find.

We booked a last minute break in Brixham and liked the look of Quayside View.

On arrival we found the house to be even better than we thought. Great location, just a short distance from the town and harbour. The parking at the front is a big bonus but the roads can be a little narrow to access! The bed in the main bedroom was super comfortable and the view fabulous. Would happily stay here again!
