The unspoiled little village of Slapton lies just inland from the nature reserve at Slapton Ley and the two mile-long beach at Slapton Sands in the heart of the South Hams in South Devon. A picturesque and peaceful village with a two excellent foodie pubs, The Queens Arms and Tower Inn. Visitors come from far and wide to observe the wildlife that live in the nature reserve and the beach stretches as far as the village of Torcross and is popular with families being patrolled in summer months by the RNLI. Nearby popular towns of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe can all be easily reached. A lovely destination for a beach holiday or simply exploring on foot.
